100% agreed - this is a coaching failure. Lazard may not have known Drake was called and fined for it, but it's a job the staff to watch around the League and advise players on what is penalized in actual games and what is not. If Drake was fined just a week ago, this should have been absolutely communicated to all players. Then Lazard could have have avoided a flag by having a different celebration, like maybe take his dick out and piss all over the field. You know, something a lot mare palatable than pretending to throw an object and shooting at it.

I don't understand how or why he continues to get prominent coaching positions in the NFL when he is not good at what he does.

What did he do to become Denver's head coach? Or the Jets OC after he was fired in Denver?

If he's not fired take away his playcalling duties.

Allow Rodgers to call his own plays Peyton Manning style or promote someone from within.

There is no downside to it this guy is that bad.

If either Saleh or Hackett had a SHRED of decency they would resign, today.

Amazing watching the Falcons tonight. A middle of the pack offense at best so far this year with a first year OC but they’re at the LOS with 15-17 and Kirk can figure out what’s going on.

Way better than watching the Jets break the huddle with 10 seconds left fighting the clock.

Someone should tell Hackett to go up in the booth so his stupid fucking mind isn’t distracted by everything.

It kind of feels like one of those devil bargain riddles.

You can have a Hall of Fame passer, but you also have to have the dumbest offensive coordinator in the history of professional football. Would you do it?

Hint: The offensive coordinator gets the QB catastrophically injured in 4 plays

Or just hand the ball to the ref and go back to the huddle with his teammates.

I was thinking last night if he would wind end up in the HC cycle next year with the likes of Ben Johnson and Slowik.. Still super annoying to watch how they use Bijan and Allegier, but they seem to be turning it on.

I’m just a fan and the moment he did the pistol shooting move I knew he’d get flagged. The shell basics of being a HC are all the same, and it seems every HC can handle that. But the details are what set great coaches apart from everyone else. This team clearly does not stress the little details. They don’t know all the rules, they don’t exploit any rules loopholes. In fact the only one we do somewhat exploit (Rodgers hard count), our coach suggested maybe we do less of that because it’s too intellectually tough on the team.

Who here would give their left nut to have Mike Lafleur back at this point? Guy had more creativity in 1 pinky than Hackett has in his whole body.

Although Rodgers brought him in in the first place it's more than obvious that Hackett is completely inept. It's not a good look.

I think that Rodgers' ego got in the way thinking that he could just call the plays and do his buddy a favor on a learning curve. Well, we know what's happened thus far.

I don't know, I've also always smelled a rat with the whole LeFleur thing (we all did). Obviously there was an implosion on the season, but at the same time, who is capable of doing anything with Z Wilson, anyway? All things considered, of course.

ML was never officially let go, it was you're fired, no, no I quit. I was reading something not that long ago that LeFleur was miserable because the situation was that untenable. I mean, he did say a bunch of diplomatic things at the end there and when he got the Chargers job, but what else was she supposed to do? And, he was thrilled to be out of here.

Personally I think that Joe Douglas was so stubborn about doubling down on Wilson that he couldn't see the forest for the trees.

This is all a moot point now because the season is already a quarter of the way complete and you're not bringing in a new OC mid-season and learning a whole new system.

The Front Office brilliance of JD and the Johnson bozos made this bed and now they have to lay in it.

Such is the life of a Jets fan. Can never have everything align at the same time.

Blow this MF'ing team up, get rid of EVERYONE in the building including those pencil pushing accountants/consultants and bring in a Saban type and give him full control. It's the only way Woody Johnson, wake up.

When you try build a new culture, you get rid of everyone including the secretaries and the friends of the program. Therein lies the rub of scared, clueless Woody Johnson. The anti-football guy.

We are not bringing in a new OC long as Aaron Rodgers is here, love that he is here but at what price? Seems like he is trying to bring all his buddies here for good and not letting JD do his job. What other OC would survive this long with this of a incompetent offense for this long?

    Good post.
I don't think the Jets have had a decent OC since Clive Rush. o_O

aftre posting that YouTube vid in the Braelon Allen thread.

I have to assign much more blame for the run game to Breece hall being hot garbage. Shades of Levoen bell.
