Who knows man... when your talking multiple millions of dollars for your family sometimes you can look past things. Like I put in the preseason prediction thread I could see him using the Jets bid to get more out of the Raiders or maybe Dolphins or whoever. Either way its pretty damn embarrassing. All the Jets had to do was nothing and they just couldn't pull it off.
Not in the "good ole' days." There once was a time where a rookie QB didn't TOUCH a field until year 3 or 4. Hell, our current QB is EXACTLY that. Don't know why I'm defending here as I'm record that the Jets have never and, to date, will never develop a rookie QB. Then again, maybe we not start these kids right away and reap the rewards. Just a thought.
It was a sin how things were for Sam here. That was a monster fuck up and still kind of pisses me off. I'm happy for his early season success and am rooting hard for him. Obviously not against us.
This board and 90% of Jets fans said to ditch Darnold and a windfall from SanFran for the #2 overall pick in favor of taking Zach Wilson. I said at the time: take the picks....or even take Ja'marr Chase or another player at #2 if there's no trade-back 2-4 spots. I didn't think Zach Wilson was legit and my worst fears were realized like that ex-Jet FO guy who said he was going to cost a coach and GM their jobs.
JDS said on TMKS that the contract needed to sign Sam was part of the debate on whether to keep or trade the #2 pick. IMO, you NEVER let $$$ decide which talent you keep. Bad move right off the bat.
That's exactly where I was as well. And the failure of Joe Douglas to not do this is going to be on FULL display next week in London. We're about to witnesses one of the funniest, most Same Old Jets moments of all-time next week.
I posted it in the game thread but I’ll post it here. I couldn’t figure out what Lazard’s problem has been for over a year here. But he tries to clap his two clumsy mittens together and trap the ball between them every time he catches the ball. It looks like a cartoon when he tries to catch a stop route. What a buffoon. He sucks.

He's scored a touchdown in 3 different games. Yes he has some ugly drops but he has also had some confusingly good plays. Pretending they didn't happen is kind of stupid.
his 2nd down drop was followed by a pick 6 - which was the difference in this game. Truly great pickup, I agree.
I think this is way cheaper than that butterfinger of a receiver. (And this thing actually sticks to the football.)
