Okay, so we all know that this guy was invisible in 2023. BUT I think we have seen now that he's really not the same player when Rodgers is throwing to him. There were a couple of slip ups during the 49ers game, but since then, if I take my bias from last season away, he looks like at least a legit rotational 2. He beasted all over those Pats defensive backs last night. Welcome to the Jets, Lazard.
He definitely looks like a legit #2 right now. Great size and good body control. Nice to see him with his pal under center throwing him passes.
Yeah to give him credit, he’s played clutch and he’s run tough…playing like a big strong WR bowling people over or running through tackles If this is what he will be all year, that’s a great complement to what Mike Williams is starting to show and then once GW and AR get more synced up, that is a very solid WR corp…I was thinking it was a weak point coming into the season but if MW and AL step up, that’s not bad. I’m a bit surprised we haven’t seen much of Corley in the last two games…I don’t even remember seeing him on the field…coming into the year, I thought it’d be easy to get him on the field and just give him little flat routes and crossers to run while he learns the route tree and AR would hit him and let him create. So surprising to me that he hasn’t played much…I wonder if AR didn’t like him missing routes or checks and just wants him on the bench?
I'm one of the very, very few to support the signing, and even fewer to not want to get rid of him after last year. I knew he could do this. I saw it all the time in GB. Granted I had tampered my expectations by now, but it's great to see him doing well. That first td was all him. Sent from my genius mind.
Very happy about his production this year with Rodgers, but I still don't have confidence in him - hands still look shaky. Some trouble with them against SF, and on his TD last night he almost dropped the screen. Happy for the guy, and what his production has meant for the team, but I'm still iffy on him as someone that can be relied on next to Garrett.
They're working in Mike Williams slowly, as they should. That guys a beast when 100%. I ean Lazard is no comparison to him. He's already made key receptions. His timing was a little off on that TD attempt. Williams and Rodgers both wanted that TD badly. It's coming
It’s a bit funny but I felt like on that bobble, that almost helped him elude the DB who was coming at him…it made him stop and the DB kind of slid past him
How about a Sam Darnold appreciation thread? Everyone on here should own up to wanting to move on from Sam and draft Zack.
Sam Darnold looked worse in his third year than his second, most NFL teams would have moved on by that point.
May get another shot at it. Sam is on a one year deal and if Aaron Rodgers decides this season is it I'm not sure I see the scenario where the Jets don't at least make an offer. What other plan is there exactly? Maybe the Vikings extend him at some point I guess but if they don't there are only X amount of other places he can go.
Do you really think Darnold would re-sign with the Jets after Douglas threw him out with the trash? He would have a much better opportunity to stick it to Douglas by signing with Miami or New England.
