That defense was really good. Really good. I think we lose this game though If they have a better QB.
I was expecting this to be a fairly comfortable game and a win for the Jets - by the end I was just relieved to see that they won - some of that early playcalling was awful and the number of penalties was terrible and will kill the Jets against a better team. If it wasn't for a couple of moments of madness by Levis the Titans would've won this game comfortably. Rodgers looks more competent than any Jets QB in years but doesn't seem to have that "wow" factor any longer - still I will take "good" over anything we've suffered in recent times (though it was weird seeing Darnold slinging the ball around for the Vikings in highlights)
Allen had two TDs today. He should have gotten more carries on Monday. I think Mike Williams getting a completion today was an important milestone.
Rodgers looks like he'll have a Fitzpatrick 2015-level season but with fewer TDs and fewer INTs. But the defensive line could be a real problem going forward.
pollard and spears rushed for 82 on 23 carries…most of the damage was on broken QB runs and Ridley’s TD run. I think the run defense was fine for the most part.
Thank God that streak is still alive. To me he still looks like Aaron Rodgers. I didn't even see much rust on him in this one. On the game winning drive vintage Rodgers he made that long down and distance completion down the sideline look easy. The defense stepped up and made some stops, good pressure on Levis there on the final possession. Just a good hard fought win for the Jets.
It is crazy how bad the D-line is performing especially given how many top draft picks they've invested in that area over the years.
One thing to remember. We played a MNF game on the road in California and arrived NY early Tuesday morning. Very short turnaround. I am glad we found a way to win.
Win is a win. They looked better overall. Not amazing but better. Look around the league... a win is a win. Take it and move on. I'm bummed about JJ and Mosley potentially. What a shame and what a blow. But fuck Hasson Reddick. I might rather see him rot on the DNP than pay him his unreasonable demands. Also psyched about Braelon Allen. They have a great 1-2. Let's take down the Pats now! They just came back to life with a loss finally!
That RTP call sucked. Just as a fan of the game. Don't know who you let go in the OS but that D lost a couple notches.
The play of Sauce Gardner is very concerning. He showed he couldn't tackle last year, now it looks like he can't cover either, .....at least not yet.
