But on the other hand he missed camp so it’s gonna take him a good 2-3 weeks to get into regular season game shape. The Jets secondary isn’t exactly an easy match up.
Opening day in the NFL can yield alot of surprises. With the preseason shortened the way it’s been and most practices honed down a little, none of the players are exactly 100% game ready in my opinion. Almost but not quite. So I view opening week as kind of an extension of the preseason kind of like the 4th preseason game but with all starters playing. In other words that tilts those games a little more towards the underdogs. The Jets have a good chance to steal this game - better than if it were being played say mid-October as an example.
Yeah but Jimmy G had a double digit lead going into the 4th quarter against the same Chiefs in the SB too. 24 of Purdy’s 36 yards on the last SB drive was on a dump off to McCaffrey where the ball went about 4 air yards. It was still a decent play but he didn’t exactly carve them up on that drive or in the game.
Purdy is a good QB. It’s his original draft position that has everyone saying he’s overrated. But does draft position really matter any more? No it doesn’t and if he was a top 10 pick with the same resume he would be acknowledged as good and people would be talking about a bright future even
Well.:. This is it. Last weekend without football for a while. I’m looking forward to the start of the season. But as jet fan , I also to know to step outside, take a deep breath and enjoy the peace while it lasts .
I dont think Jimmy G was that bad. I think his injuries caught up to him. IMO Purdy probably is in the top 10 QBs. Not trying to say hes top 5, I would take a handful of QBs before him but hes pret Next year this week of football will have a game or two before week 1. Pretty sure the NFL wants to put games in Australia and other parts of the world that require longer travel times.
Let's get our boys in and out of the bay area with no gunshot wounds if possible. . https://www.nbcbayarea.com/news/loc...ll-shot-robbery-niners-san-francisco/3640198/
The Homer in me bet them straight up with the money line…but I agree with you. Again the 1/2 is huge. A field goal won’t cut it.
Agree with you - my gut thinks the Jets win. Could be my inner homer. But if the line were 3 or under I couldn’t pull the trigger on them. Something always goes wrong ….
Purdy or no Purdy the key to victory is to slow down their running game 1st and foremost, and in passing situations pressure the double TEs formation with our fast LBs. A formation they will use a lot.
Damned SF is having some major setbacks right now. We better not let our guard down. Go for the kill.
Yeah, I'm gonna do a SGP to boost to the odds for me. Nothing crazy, maybe a moderate yards rushing for Breece and something else. Anybody like the under here @43.5 ?
Thats real tricky …Vegas knows what they’re doing there. I was thinking along the lines of 20-17… but maybe 23-20.
