The Jets traded Codrington to Buffalo for a couple of late round 2026 draft picks….. I don’t like the sound of that …. Trading him to Buffalo of all places. He showed some good return skills ….
We couldnt keep him, and he would have been picked up for nothing. good move to get something. We seem to be doing pretty well with late rounders and even better with UFA
I get there may have been no room for him as he seemed to be a one trick pony - I’d of preferred to keep him out of the AFC East

What are you five years old? It’s not “complaining” it’s called an opinion. If he displays the same return skills he showed these last couple of games in the regular season it could hurt the Jets directly. On an NFC team not so much … Hopefully it doesn’t come back to bite them..
it’s a ridiculous opinion. If they just cut him do you really think he’s that much in demand not to get to Buffalo. They didn’t just cut Marshall Faulk, the guy isn’t even NFL level in the secondary

Forget the secondary I said he was a one trick pony - excellent return skills. I get there isn’t a way to stash him on the roster based on his special team capabilities …. Hopefully I’m wrong and he was just a pre season flash because if you know anything about the Jets history with discarded players within their own division I can see him breaking a couple of long returns come week 6…..
I did that initially because of what the Jets tweet said. It said they had the Jets kep 10 DL and in parentheses says that JJ is listed as a LB). That would seem to indicate that they kept 11 DL, which would mean that they're including Reddick, but that can't work because he hasn't reported, and that would make 54 on the roster once you include the 3 STers. They must have included JJ in the count to make 10 and then pointed out that they included him even though he's listed as a LB on the roster. Listing JJ as a LB makes zero sense. I'm surprised that his agent would have accepted that, because that will cost JJ money if it's not changed when he gets a 2nd contract.
I liked Seibert … obviously he wasn’t going to beat out Zuerlein. Hopefully he’s available in a pinch in case of injury… Martinez may be worth a PS spot….we’ll see.
PS predictions? I'll throw out Martinez, Kuntz, and Smart. Think they need to pick up an experienced intelligent WR for AR, at least until Williams is 100%
So it seems like no huge surprises really…they kept both Surratt and Barnes at LB, seemingly at the cost of only 2 TEs I still think the WR room could use an upgrade…a lot will depend on how well and how soon M Williams can become productive, because if he takes a while to come back to form, we’re looking at GW, Lazard, and Gipson/Corley as our starting trio…not much there to really take coverage away from GW … that would have to come from Conklin and Hall I guess I wouldn’t be shocked if we do a bit of roster management in the coming days…
Yeboah is our third TE, on IR for 4 games right now. I also forecast some more subtle moves, at WR, Reddick spot, may be even OL back up.
