Connor Hughes @Connor_J_Hughes Second Aaron Rodgers DTF drill ends with a touchdown — a six-yard laser over middle to Garrett Wilson on third down. Rodgers went 4 of 5 on the drive (80 yards drive). Two highlights - A gorgeous back-should to Wilson for a first down on third down. He “beat” Sauce Gardner. I put that in quotes because it was tremendous coverage. One of those incompletions a spike. Another a drop by Tyler Conklin He started practice 1-for-5 passing, too. So quite the rally.

Hall threw his hand up at the 5 and Rodgers got it to him. That then convert the 2-point (to Corley). #Jets offensive left 4 seconds on clock. They started down 8 at their own 28 with 1:01 left. The #Jets ran three DTF drills with Rodgers: They scored 17 points. First a field goal, second a TD to Wilson, then the final TD to Hall. A very good day.

It reminds me of what Herm Edwards stupidly did when he tried to turn Shaun Ellis into his version of Warren Sapp and made him gain weight to play 3T for a season. I think that was the year they drafted Bryan Thomas. Eerily similar circumstance, though Clemons wasn't a starter.
On the plus side, we don't have to lament Ed Reed leaving the Jets after his rookie contract to play for Bill Belichick.
Instead of trying to make Clemons something he is not, they coulda just held onto John Franklin Myers
