....try to imitate them. Just like Belicheck locked Mangini out of the complex when he interviewed for the Jets, word is the Jets locked out Corwin Brown when he returned from his ND interview and could not get back into the building.
Notre Dame is a college program... That's just immature... What Belichick did was typical, immature, but also kind of made a little sense, considering Mangini was going to a divisional rival, so he could conceivably have been a threat to the Pats had he decided to take along an extra playbook or something... But this is just stupid...
If that actually happened, I think it was a bad decision. (He is going to work for Charlie Weis which is different than just any college team.)
And Weiss probably still has contact with BB. My guess is that if this is true, it's just a standard practice for the organization regardless of which coach it is that leaves.
they did get fired....i saw it on here but someone had a link to verify. i think the locking corwin brown out is a BS story though.
yea i know they got fired...but where is his link that he says he saw that they would get the boot, along with the link of Corwin getting locked out..because unless he shows us these sources, it means nothing...
The operating word here is "if." Doesn't sound like something Mangini would do given that Belichick's actions were viewed as so ridiculously adolescent.
Corwin Brown would get locked out for going to ND...but Schott comes back and says he's committed to the Jets. Don't believe this story for one sec
Mangini seemed pretty happy for Corwin from what i read, and since Mangini and Weis talk alot, im sure both sides worked this whole thing out. From Andrew Gross: "This is a well-earned opportunity for Corwin," Jets coach Eric Mangini said in a statement released by Notre Dame. "Since his days as a player, you sensed Corwin would excel as a coach." seems like kind words to me.
