also "better than what the Jets have had in the past" is not the bar to set IMO, because its a pretty fucking low bar. We didn't trade several draft picks and take on $100 mill in contract cap space to have the 29th best QB* in the league....or did we??? *29th is better than what we've had for several years
There’s no indication Rodger’s is some sort of lazy worker. He’s away doing spiritual retreats. What’s it matter to you if it’s not harming anyone or illegal?
It's almost certain that given the chances he takes - and succeeds at usually - there will some games lost because his body can't "cash the checks" that his ego writes like it used to. And then what will all the fans who are convinced a healthy Rodgers for a full season = Lombardi Trophy do? There's going to be a lot of anger and moaning about the SOJ "curse"...IOW the usual Jets seasonal roller coaster.
The drugs he's using are illegal so there is that Its no harm to me at all. It is harming his chances at success on the football field, which is what I thought we were talking about
It’s legal in Costa Rica and decriminalized in a bunch of US States. So again, I don’t really see what the big deal is if he partakes in it as his vacation away from football.
Ok well we will see if he makes it back for Organized Team Activities. I doubt it. I also doubt he makes it through the season, you know, working out and taking care of the body is vital to success at age 40 in this league.
I’ll take a guy who gets stoned on a psychedelic for one week in the offseason rather than someone who goes out partying every night, wouldn’t you?
I'm sure Rodgers does his fair share of partying too but you went from comparing him to Brees & Rivers who ate, drank and slept football to random partiers
And if/when 2022 Rodgers with Lafleur gets adjusted down to the Hackett-only version of 2022 Russell Wilson? Because that appears to be the much better probability outcome on the table atm/imo when you actually factor in the 2 year running track record of the Hackett offense.
It's legal in Colorado, Washington and Oregon, it's also legal where he is using it. Can you expound on how it is harming his success on the field? Cannabis used to be illegal just about everywhere in the U.S. but now it is made legal or at least available medically, in many states, as they realize there are a myriad of uses that help those with various ailments.
And it's not as if Rodgers is doing it for recreational purposes. He may have unconventional health habits, didn't know what to categorize it, but those habits seemed to help him recover from his latest injury pretty fast. I realize the new type of operation helped also, but he was walking around pretty quickly for a 40 year old guy recovering from Achilles surgery.
