They play Boston on Saturday night. This is a team the Isles rarely beat so while last night's win was nice it will probably be back to reality tomorrow night.

Isles 5 Bruins 1. Palmieri with a natural hat trick in the first period.

What an odd week this has been.

Any shot at the playoffs will come from catching the Flyers. The Flyers are 5 points ahead in the standings. 71 points to 66 points. The Isles do have 2 games in hand on Philly and they still have to play each other one more time as well.

4th straight win tonight 4-2 over the Blues impressive especially coming back from trailing 2-0.

5 in a row... They finally easily beat a team they should have.

Two points out of a WC spot with two games in hand on Tampa. Four points behind Philly for 3rd in the Metro. Sucks the Flyers won but Isles on a nice 5 game winning streak.

Exactly the type of win you want against a bad team, especially considering they didn’t necessarily play particularly great. Need to follow that up with another one against another bad team in the Ducks. Kings are also beatable.

6-1 win over the Ducks last night to extend the winning streak to 6 games. If the playoffs started today the Isles would be in. Roy has done a very good job in a short period of time with this team. Hopefully they can make it 7 in a row over the Kings tonight. LGI.

Stadium last night felt like it was mostly Islanders fans, but that’s because Ducks fans aren’t coming out anymore. Isles chants throughout the game and afterwards. Fun time.

Will be interesting to see the support tonight. Plenty of tickets available for the game.

They were not winning every game, so I expected a loss on a B2B. They do need to win the next two. Thursday at Buffalo and Saturday at home vs Ottawa are games they should win. After that it's Sunday at MSG vs the Rangers and Tuesday at home vs Carolina. The schedule gets a lot harder after the next 2 games.

No big surprise we lost the 3rd game of a west coast trip on a back to back though the Kings didn’t really do much so it’s disappointing that it was an easily winnable game if we weren’t so flat. As long as it doesn’t start a losing streak it’s no big deal.

This team is consistently inconsistent. As I said, the loss to the Kings was not a big deal only if it didn’t turn into a losing streak.

So, two losses in a row where they don't even score a goal. Wonderful. Saturday's game against Ottawa is a must win provided they can score a fucking goal. After that Sunday at the Rangers and Tuesday at home vs the Hurricanes. Saturday is a MUST WIN.

Hopefully each loss brings us closer to Lamorello's retirement. I don't think there's another 80+ year old GM in all four top tier pro leagues.

Isles will make the playoffs, maybe even win a round, just to prolong this nonsense, convince Lou to stay and give Nelson a 7 year deal.
