Good win (for the Jets) by the Pats. - the Jets are only one win behind the Pats and Arizona in number of wins for draft order, and currently have the tiebreaker thanks to the Pats 15-10 win over them. What, are there any other standings other than draft order standings that are of any relevance to the Jets?
So I'm pretty sure tie breakers aren't counted based on wins and record. They are counted based on opponents win percentage, which is why somehow the Jets always manage to end up last in the teams picking with the same record. (at least lately)
Zappe was a 4th round pick but point taken. The Jets also had the opportunity to steal him off the practice squad in the offseason as they demoted him.
Something like that, yes. I remember when the Jets were tied with I forgot who a few years ago, they lost out on the second or first or third whatever pick it was, and then alternated rounds after that.
From the NFL site: In situations where teams finished the previous season with identical records, the determination of draft position is decided by strength of schedule — the aggregate winning percentage of a team’s opponents. The team that played the schedule with the lowest winning percentage will be awarded the higher pick. If the teams have the same strength of schedule, division or conference tiebreakers are applied. If the divisional or conference tiebreakers are not applicable, or ties still exist between teams of different conferences, ties will be broken the following tie-breaking method: Head-to-head, if applicable Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games (minimum of four) Strength of victory in all games Best combined ranking among all teams in points scored and points allowed in all games Best net points in all games Best net touchdowns in all games Coin toss Before last weekend, the Jets strength of schedule was worse, so they would get the pick if they were tied with the Pats. Here's the remaining schedules: Steelers (last night) Chiefs Broncos Bills Jets Jets schedule: Texans Dolphins Commanders Browns Pats Looks to me like it will definitely come down to that last weekend. Up until now I was not officially rooting for a tank, but now it's time. I can't see the Patriots draft a new franchise quarterback right in front of us.
Look, it's pretty apparent that any NFL quarterback other than Zach Wilson does a better job than anyone on the Jets, including Zach. Whether it's a first 5th, 7th or free agent they all out play him.
Fck Kelce, hahaha. OPI, and the guy is bitching when it would've been Cheats level if he didn't get called. What a hump.
Who again on this site was pissed we didn't give up future assets for Josh Dobbs? Jesus Christ. We have enough bad QBs on this team. Why was it a good idea to trade draft picks for another bad QB?
Toney with the moronic offensive offsides lining up in the neutral zone costs KC a brilliant touchdown via the Kelce backwards pass downfield.
Mahomes threw his helmet because the refs didn't throw him some Tom Shady calls. Oh, well, can't always get the fix. The refs will make up for it soon enough. What's going to irritate me here is it's going to be a huge deal because it's Mahomes, Kelce, and Swift. They're all carrying on, but when it's the Jets, who cares, right?
I think the bigger story was the Chiefs got called for things they almost never get called for. It's gonna be this tremendous drama now how all of the refs need to be fired tomorrow and Goodell will now say that this must change!
Mahomes got gifted calls to win the title game and super bowl. Also the Jets game this year. He can whine but his WR was offsides. I think he was more mad that he didn't get a roughing the passer.
Looks like mahomes was mad that the refs didn’t warn that Toney was offsides. nfl and bills should get flagged for letting von miller play.
