Not for the $ that he is probably going to end up getting.

id love to see assante samuel in a jets uni next year. hes gonna get top money, which means he isnt going to stay with the pats..because we all know they pay no one...including their starting QB because they lie to him and say "were going to spend on other players too" and then let his fav reciever go to another team.

i hope the mangini factor helps him in deciding to come here....and maybe for a little less than he would take somewhere else. what i would love to see is him take less money to come here than what NE offers him...not gonna happen....but i would still love that.

Based on Mangini pedigree he doesn't seem like the type to make a big splash in free agency. That being said, Samuel is probably one of the few FA that are worth the money. (i.e. he isn't Archuletta, Randel El, McGinest, etc.)

Only if the price is right...although I doubt it.

It would be great if they could sign him. Just don't think he's worth the money he'll probably get. If he really is that great of a player do you think the Pats would let him get away? They do let a lot of their guys go, but they also do keep the really good ones and just keep reloading around them.

No, I think it is very unlikely he is here.

I'd rather see us spend $$ on getting a dominant 3-4 NT or DE. If we can become dominant with our front 3, the LB's, safeties and CB's will look way better.

Sure, I just don't think it will happen. I also don't think he is a true #1 corner but he will command #1 Corner money. I could be wrong though.

I read somewhere that he recently got a tatoo that something like "Pay Me" or something similar. The last thing I want on this team is a player only concerned with how much he is paid in free agency. Once he gets his pay day, will he still have the desire. CB is not the biggest need on this team by any stretch. Let's spend free agent money on a proven OL or DL first and foremost. Let someone else overpay.

Ahhhh, I could take him or leave him...would be cool, but i'd rather spend the dough on the front 7 on D and guards on O

Taking him from NE would be the double bonus, you add to yours and subtract from theirs at the same time. He likes money, I like not having Brady use our DBs like a kleenex. You want the best, its going to cost you, and we have the $$ under the cap right now to get this done.

...I'm just glad we don't have to worry about anymore over-the-hill Buccaneer/Chief castoffs!
