the majority of people like woody (rich family, born into wealth, etc) have never had any adversity or issues so they can never see themselves as a problem. If you were 80 and "succeeded" at everything in life and rich for those 80 years, do you think that you'd ever think something could be your fault? it's the old simpsons meme

with that said though I will say at least he tried that 1 time when he hired an outside company to make the GM hire for us and we wound up with a worse one then woody would have hired himself.

I have been screaming to fire Woody for years. Unfortunately, he won't listen and refuses to clean out his office.

Somebody's gotta be a shitty team to provide entertainment for the other owners, it's very charitable of Woody to volunteer.

White was a free agent, but otherwise I agree with most of your sentiment in a very general sense.

Woody bought the team to bring purpose to his life. The Jets are his version of Adulting.

Fundraising for failed politicians was just more important to him I guess

He tried? He tried what? To sell more tickets?

Let's see, the Jets are at 4 - 8; the Saints are 5 - 7 and so are the Raiders. Please explain what metric you are using that allows you to claim the Jets are doing better than the Saints and Raiders.

Every season is on Woody - he owns the joint. Your ID says you've been here since 2007; you must have missed at least a dozen of these threads in that time. It's not about Rodgers.

There is no firing of Woody. He is well respected business wise in the NFL. He has been forward thinking in hiring minorities and women for positions in his organization.
The NFL doesn’t care about Jets fans. Their official sites have memes making fun of the fans and team. The NY market brings in high volumes of revenue. It’s more important for small market teams to be successful so they draw fans. That’s not an issue in NYC.
    There are 2 solutions.
    Grin and bear it
Move on and abandon his franchise for your own sanity and morale.

Nah, I’m not a give up kind of a guy. Furthermore, I would state that the majority of Jets fans aren’t quitters. Our loyalty shows that.

Can you provide any kind of a link to support your opinion that the NFL respects Woody so much? Personally I find that hard to believe.

I hate Woody, he is such a sniveling nerd. The chain is pathetic.
He was born with a silver spoon up his ass.
He's done nothing. He is a billionaire and his wife isn't hot.
    What a fucking loser.
The worst franchise in the last 30 years of sports coupled with the worst owner ever.
    He's got to go.

So again - You wanted to pay 30M+ for a average QB that would have to be replaced in a year or 2 then swing for a 4X MVP that has a smaller cap hit then ZACH WILSON.

Yes, Woody has made bad GM hires ETC. but this season is not on him. He let his GM make the moves and HE WROTE THE CHECKS NO QUESTIONS

I completely agree with you on this. He has been the only constant here. He sticks his fucking nose in football operations too much.

Here's how you fire Woody: Stop supporting the team. Stop buying tickets, stop giving TV ratings and stop buying merch. Woody sucks, but if he actually follows through and tries to move the Jets to queens and get them their own stadium, he'd be a hero. I doubt he does it, however. He's too cheap, plus he's a cultist.

There's a better chance of Leon Hess returning from the dead and buying the team back than there is of fans boycotting the team on OPENING DAY. Remember, as Jets fans we relish our off-seasons, they are when hope is at its highest, so asking fans to give up on the season before it starts would NEVER happen.

We wouldn't even be able to get fans to boycott the 17th game when the Jets were 0–16. Never happen.

Agreed. If people are serious about this they should be canceling their season tickets. If Woody sees tons of people canceling he may start thinking about it. If people buy tickets and then don't show up for the game, it may appear bad, but Woody wouldn't care because it's already bought and paid for.
