I've got nothing anymore guys. The biggest question going into this week will be do they give Siemian a shot as the starter? Or do they continue to roll with Boyle or Zach? Houston isn't the push over we thought they would be going into this season. Stroud looks like the real deal. Wild to see how much a viable QB can elevate an otherwise poor roster. Ryans should absolutely be in contention for Coach of the Year, especially if the Texans make the playoffs. He's done a tremendous job with that roster. All that being said, the tank is officially on IMO. We're not technically eliminated from playoff contention yet but I imagine that'll happen over the next week or two. If it were up to me, I'd keep rolling with Boyle. Do this tank right like we didn't do back in 2020. This season is over, now just try to get the best possible pick you can to either take a stud on the offensive side of the ball or trade back for a boatload of assets. I'm sure they'll somehow win 1-2 more games now that the playoffs are out of reach and we'll be picking in the teens again though. Rinse and repeat.
Lets lose 31-12 I was pretty close on the Atlanta score. and I was still shocked they play THAT fucking poorly
I hate to refer to it as a "tank" - that's too close to quitting; can't we look at it as seeing what some of the younger, less experienced guys can do as the team plans for the future? Would it be possible to add a third option to the poll along the lines of "who even gives a crap any more?"
For those who want to win. Keep this in mind. Path for the #Jets to receive the 3rd overall pick: - Jets lose out - ARI, CHI, NYG, WAS win 1 more game That would have the #Jets at 3rd overall and in prime position to draft Marvin Harrison Jr — Optimistic Jets (@OptimisticJets) December 3, 2023
Another season where I find myself checking out in the 2nd half to watch another game that resembles competent football. I'm used to them losing.... but they're not even mildly entertaining.
I can't think of any conceivable reason to have any optimism, faith, or belief things can improve. I think losing out is a very strong possibility. Though the way this team works, they'll probably end up beating the Pats week 18 to end their losing streak to them. But of course, in true Jets fashion the win wouldn't even be gratifying - it would just set the Pats up for a better draft pick and us for a worse one. So the win will basically be a loss... Wow, it's all so obvious. I can't see it happening any other way. 26-6 Texans
We get blown out. After yesterday's debacle, I don't expect the D to even show up anymore. May as well run a combination of the T-formation, Wildcat and the wishbone at this point. That's how far this team is setting back offense in the modern age of football.
Texans will win - I think the D will keep the score relatively low but they will still walk away winners 19-7 (the score coming from something defensive)
it is basically written in the stars that the Jets will win and as a result the Pats get to draft their next franchise QB
Like someone pointed out on another board, the Texans are what we could (should) have been? -Hiring a first time head coach who was DC for the 49ers -Having the #2 overall for a QB -Stockpiling a bunch of picks besides
Why hasn't anyone on the Jets team got fired? The Jaguars fired their Special Team Coordinator after two punts got blocked.
