Well, we're 4-7, playoffs are a long shot, and the season is essentially over before December, again. Unless...we can rattle off 3 straight, get Rodgers back for the Commanders game and then win 3 more. Crazy? Perhaps, but I can't accept defeat on this season until we're officially eliminated from playoff contention. Which will most likely happen in the next week or two. Until then, let's talk Jets/Falcons. Falcons have a strong run game with the 1-2 punch of Bijan and Allgeier and a good OL, so this is going to be the ultimate test for our D. Can we hold them in check and force Desmond Ridder to beat us? Can Hackett actually put together a decent gameplan for once in his entire life? Will the OL look different with us potentially getting Brown, Becton, and Schweitzer back? Lose this one, and I, along with most of you I assume, will start shifting our focus exclusively to the draft. I've already started to listen to some draft-centric podcasts, so I'm almost there anyway. Can they keep our attention for another week? Or will this be the proverbial nail in the coffin for the season? We'll find out on Sunday somewhere between 1-4pm.
I think this will be the first game this year where the empty seats return. My guess 20,000 to 25,000 no-shows for this one.
As they should. No one should have to spend hundreds of dollars to see this product, Woody should be paying fans to come to games at this point.
On one hand, it would be nice longer term to get a top draft pick On the other, it would be nice to see this team find a little mojo again. It's concerning seeing young stars like GW and Breece so dejected and the defense starting to show cracks
Another suckfest is in store for Jet fans. They should just forfeit the rest of the season and start over in '24 with Kal EL behind center.
This is one of the games they could win. I think they are losing at Clevland and Miami for sure. But the three home games left (Falcons, Texans, Commanders) are winnable. I am not saying the Jets will win them. This team is known for shooting themselves in the foot, but they could win them. I doubt they win at NE. What is it now 15-16 losses in a row.
Atlanta has been pretty bad on the road this season including losses to Tenn. and Arizona. We will probably pull a win out here.
I can't see the Jets winning with Boyle and the turnstile OL. Thankfully, I have my nephew's wedding at 3 pm on Sunday, so I'll miss the second half.
A good friend of mine is a Falcons fan (yeah, I guess one exists) and we were looking forward to this game.... I just can't get excited anymore...
Who will win? The Falcons are a lousy team, but they also don't need GPS and an act of God to find the endzone, so of course the Falcons are going to win.
I vote Jets to win. Based on everything this entrainment entity has produced over the last 27 years of my fandom, this may be the last game I attend. Yes, I will miss the epic tailgate with my buddies at J15. The heartache and investment is not worth it. Looks like the temp will be mild but pissing rain. The tailgate will be spectacular. I’m making Pork Ribs and Baked Mac n Cheese.
i echo the sentiment, was season ticket holder for more than 6 years and gave them up after having kids. i still go to 2-4 games a year but mostly for tailgating then the game. honestly you should still go for that aspect, just setup a tv in the lot (this is what we do now) vs going in.
