Next year is going to be exactly like this year. We're going to have the same dumbasses returning to "lead" this organization. If Aaron Rodgers does anything of consequence with this team next year, then, for my money, he'll go down as the greatest QB to ever play the game because, what we're seeing this year, is the exact same product that Douglas is going to trot out their next year. The only change would be a healthy Rodgers.
We have even less NFL offensive lineman under contract next year and barely any cap room. The only hope we have is Rodgers donating his salary to fix the line and even then the offensive line free agent class sucks.
That's OK. I hear this guy Joe Douglas is a real O-line guru. I'm sure he'll be able to fix it no problem. Oh, wait....
Hackett is worse than his dad and even worse than Adam Gase and whatever that troll was he had as his coordinator friend I’ve never seen a more terrible job as coordinator. Sean Payton was right. The Rooney rule is broken. if a complete loser like Hackett keeps getting job after job just because of his dad, who sucked anyway
I just don't even know what to say anymore. Everything has been said countless times and nothing ever changes. Bad OCs. Bad QBs. Bad skill position groups. Bad OLs. We can't even get any of them right for brief periods of time.
Where the hell was Izzy today? I thought we cut Michael Carter to get this guy some reps. No carries today and what did he have, two last week, and they both came in garbage time. This franchise is a joke. Izzy might give this team something. Cook sucks and Breece Hall looks like he's already planning where he's going on vacation in early January. Give the rookie a chance.
See there you go, assuming cutting Carter was to give Izzy reps, that's not how this organization rolls - they cut Carter when they did so he had a chance to catch on with another team instead of riding the pine. The Jets braintrust are really good guys, terrible at actually running or coaching the team. I love how JD just tosses away high draft assets HE drafted like they were all acquired on somebody else's watch. And where is tubby to stand up to a microphone and own this calamity?
I didn’t think he’d be able to get it near the end zone and was prepared to call it the “Frail Mary”.
Biggest offensive disaster in NFL history? They're sure doing everything in their power to make a run at that title. The entire Offense needs to be redone. Literally. This is the same shit every year. And they will go out and draft some random DT and Safety in the first 4 rounds. It is Criminal and Pathetic the way Douglas handles the drafts. Hackett, Zach and Joe Douglas. These 3 need to go ASAP. This offense is complete garbage because of them.
Saleh being deathly afraid of QB making a mistake instead of encouraging QB to make a play is a major part of the problem.
In all fairness, the four games we won were won by that strategy. And I'm pretty sure we wouldn't have won those games, or any other games, otherwise.
For all the heat Adam Gase took, his offense did more with less talent. Not that it’s saying much but just shows how utterly bad Hackett has been. The Jets should have learned from the disaster his dad was when he was here. We literally have posters here with screen names mocking Paul Hackett.
He usually did pretty well on those opening drives. Gase's Jets scored on the opening drive in 8 consecutive games in 2020 under Gase. Just think what his defense could have done with those points.
