The bar is pretty low. Wasn't the worst performance, though there was pressure on right side quite a few times too, including during the INT, but coupled with poor run blocking, I think OLine was not good again.

Is that when we matriculated down the field to score a touchdown?

    It feels that long ago.

So AR just joins the conga line of grifter coaches and players spawned from the original grifter / con man Woody Johnson..well you may have a point there

Cant the NFL just bust up this 20 year plus con game run by these Owners?

You can't blame Rodgers - everybody wants things their way. That doesn't mean that those who baked the cake exactly to his specifications are not guilty for kissing his ass and making bad decisions for everyone else involved.

One way to fine out would be to give Siemian a start. I can’t imagine it could go any worse than Zach, so why not. Seems like it would be a useful exercise.

Granular analysis of Zach Wilson only serves to attribute a false level of "success" to his performance.

The big picture on the guy is that he should not be in the NFL, in any role, let alone a starter. He is a body off the street, Uncle Rico level ability, who only has a roster spot because people in power are too scared/ignorant/egotistical to admit just how wrong they were about him. The degree of ineptitude he causes by taking snaps on Sundays is why this offense looks as comically bad as it does.

This is a cherry-picked stat of course, but it says something when the cherry-picked stats in Zach's defense are something like "In this particular situation, Zach was better than some top 10 QB having a bad day," whereas the cherry-picked stats against Zach are "In this stat, Zach is literally the worst QB in NFL history."

I'm not sure he makes it through the year without being broken in half Mike White style before he can even get to a trade demand.

Why would the refs care about the sanctity of the rules during a game around the Jets when they know, as everyone does across the league, that Woody himself cares little about winning? The goal was always to sell things, not put out a good product. NFL owners who win consistently in this league, are lifers who care about the game. Woody is a world-class moron who can't read the tea leaves or grasp the physics enough to use a hanky to test which way the wind is blowing. He thinks he is winning because he convinced the saddest, most desperate fan-base in the history of sports and a few headline-grubbing pseudo-journalists into believing that this season was about Rogers and winning. There was less than 1% chance that Rogers would make it out of preseason, regardless if the oline was good or not; but what did his head-spinning acquisition result in?
    1. Money from fans who should know better (do you watch sports at all?)
    2. Signing low end veterans with slightly higher deals to pretend they're good players (not a single contributor among them) and not one of them with an eye or commitment to the future (also -not about winning)
    3. Not signing a back up qb at all which becomes the basis of nearly argument for keeping Wilson out there. It's the perfect fall-back, "but look at our options?!" Absolute morons.
4.Constant flow of media coverage NOT aimed at the absolute gauntlet of poor mismanagement of team issues, it is because the coaching and GM are top notch that this team is out there performing each week. The posters on here relentlessly calling on the heads of coaches for 20 some odd years is hilarious. You don't think Woody has the money to spend on pushing false narratives through social media, forums and the press? How do you think he accomplishes this? An entire fan base is so lacking self-respect, have believed the narratives about Marino and Rice or whatever, so easily preyed upon by this idiot owner. It is so depressing. I would rather root for the Jets in any other state if it meant we had an owner who was smarter than a bic pen but also not a malicious shit-peddler.

Building up your defense to be your offense is like throwing the race car in reverse at the start of the race.

Fuck Joe Douglas, Bob Saleh, Woody Johnson, Hymie Elhai, Brian Friedman, and Rex Hogan.

Rodgers next year is what will keep Saleh and Douglas employed.

He'll get injured right away again if Douglas continues to ignore the o-line and only sign unwanted FA trash.
