What’s the point of benching Zach Wilson now?

I don't necessarily trust them on anything. But going all in on premium offensive players this year, or rather next year since that's what we're speaking about, doesn't guarantee we're going to get that production in the first year. If we are really going all in, we trade draft picks for players. It's really that simple.

Unfortunately for us, Douglas fell in love with McDonald, and in his mind, he's never wrong, so McDonald was the pick.

And we all know he'll do something similar again next season. There was no reason not to load up on the offense this season, especially with a shaky (being very generous there) O-line and a 39 year-old QB, but no, we had to pick a guy that can't get on the field because his position group is one of the most talented and deepest groups in the entire league.

The time has come to throw in the towel on Zach.

He will never be our starting quarterback of the future.

I wouldn't even want him here at the vet minimum next year because we should sign a reliable backup and our third sting QB should be a younger player with upside.

We need to evaluate the rest of the young players on our offense and figure out how to build this team going forward.

Having the slightest shred of hope that Zach can be the guy is what put us in this mess in the first place.

The rest of the team deserves better than trotting out Zach Wilson who the know will consistently let them down.

What you're saying makes no sense whatsoever. If you continue to March Zach out there the players would revolt. The players need something to look forward to. Zach was NEVER the answer. I don't blame Zach, Zach is just not an NFL quality QB. Changing the QB now, and I agree they should have done this much earlier, gives the players something to play for. In the end, I think Joe Douglas is an excellent GM but he's to blame for this....

And in a nutshell this is the source of Zach’s deficiencies. He will crumble in front of a ravenous booing crowd. He is mentally soft. The coaches treat him that way since he got here. All the talent in the world will never overcome a lack of self confidence to take the reigns and lead.

The guy actually calls Rodgers "Dad" on the sideline.

I heard him at least 3 times during Hard Knocks. His behavior on the sideline really does resemble a child with ADHD.
