Someone pointed out the other day that junc was banned a month before gased signed up. Very interesting coincidence.
so just so i understand. the small vocal minority here is digging into conspiracy theories that someone who has been here for 8 years is actually someone who was banned 9 years ago and you don't realize how crazy you are?
Dude, no one seriously thinks you're him, you just speak exactly like him and have haughty attitude that everyone else is stupid and you're smart and can't believe you're mingling with us - just like him. So who is the crazy one, the guy that can't have his balls broken and realize the context, or everyone else?
Actually, the point is that you believe number three is not an option, but the reality is that there is as much of a chance that Siemian is water with some piss mixed in as it is he's shit.
it's all the same. simian is trash. do you not remember the chicago game from last year? we all watch him play. he was ass. people said the same about MLF too. get rid of him, it can't be worse. now hackett has been worse. things can always be worse. the only reason to start boyle or simian is to tank. you have to realize players are real people. they aren't madden virtual ratings. everyone in that locker room has seen simian and boyle practice. they all know damn well if one of them was to start and zach benched that the team is tanking at that point. They all want to win. it would be a disaster. If either of them gave us a better chance to win, the players would be making it obvious. to say simian is a better choice is basically saying you know better then the 70 or so players and coaches on the jets who watch these guys everyday are wrong and you who hasn't seen simian play in a year knows better. you don't realize how insane that is?
Well I think further to the point is that perhaps Semien or Boyle are indeed shit and likely are. But our offense has scored 8 offensive touchdowns in 9 games (one was given to them by the Eagles) and it’d be hard to get much worse at this point. Our season is on the brink and we see other franchises making moves (Wentz to the Rams, Dobbs to the Vikings, Browns bring in PJ Walker after Watson gets hurt the first time and DTR sucks, the Packers are instantly leaking media that Love might not be the guy, etc.) and we’re going to ride this train right into the ground with a playoff roster. So yeah I mean the whole thing I look at is, we should throw a change up and if it’s a fucking disaster we can just go back to Wilson, no harm, no foul.
Why do you make up quotes as if you were in the locker room and knew what players were thinking or saying? Most of us, including me, or just lobbying for a change. It can or can't be worse, neither one matters. It's not working, the kid is not advancing, and his teammates are visibly frustrated. And your assertion that 70 people in that room see the other guys practice and know the best guy is already in there is pure guess work, wishful thinking, and complete bullshit all wrapped up into one. The fact of the matter is the team won't make the change because once they do, Zach is done here and they know it. Not only do they not want to make such a final decision, but they also still have some hope that he can learn from Aaron Rodgers. If that wasn't the case, they would have gotten someone better than Siemian in here at the beginning of the season or at least after Rodgers went down, or at worst case a couple of weeks into the season when they actually did get Siemian. It tells those of us without brains, who are working very hard to understand and don't see things clearly as people as smart as you, that the Jets went all in on trying to develop this kid and never considered another option. So you may actually be right that the other options aren't better, but we will never know because they refuse to even try.
Everything we've seen have been the team supporting zach. zachs been harder on himself then his teammates have been on him. because zach expects to do better and he isn't but his teammates know they have no other choice. where are the "tim fning boyle shirts? your statement is bullshit. until a player comes out and says it, then zach hasn't lost the locker room. if he was to lose the locker room then i'd say make the change because you owe it to the players. change for the sake of change is always the dumbest option possible. remember a couple years back when everyone here wanted ulbrich fired? Him I defended, I said the D had no talent and it wasn't on ulbrich. and I'll I heard was 31st ranked defense and blah blah and we need change. now 2 years later everyone loves him and we have an elite defense. People did the same with MLF last year too and now hackett is worse. the best teams have continuity. they don't instantly make changes when things go bad. it's not like we are 0-9 and we have a rookie 4th round QB behind zach and at that point it's fuck it lets see what the rookie can do. we have to 30ish year old QBs who have been in the league a while and are not good. zach is already done here. rodgers coming in was the end of giving zach a chance. his contract and our cap room makes him not moveable. he'll play out his contract as a backup here and then be a FA. rodgers likely retires at that point and we look for a new QB. as far as refusing to try, there is also a salary cap. and again players are humans. white wasn't an option. miami offered more then we could, gave him the QB2 spot, and he is behind an injury prone QB with waddle and hill as WRs. and he grew up a miami fan. there was no reason for white to choose us. Saleh just said he released carter to give him a chance to prove himself instead of letting him rot on the bench because it was best for carter. dalton is a high tier backup, but he went to where he could compete with a rookie to start. he wouldn't want to sit behind rodgers with 0 chance to start outside injury. players have a choice. they want to play. most backup QBs worth a damn don't want to sign with a team that has a HOF QB. ben, rivers, eli, brady, peyton, favre, rodgers etc all never had shit for backup QBs. even the colts GM said "whats the difference. if manning goes down were fucked" and sure enough when he did they went from a 10+ win playoff team every year for 9 years in a row to a 2-14 worst team in the NFL. all in all, we were commited to zach on the roster and he's played fine for a backup QB so far.
I didn't mention stats. I pointed out things he did that people here would shit on him but don't show up in the stats. nobody here knew he did that because they didn't watch him play
Dead man walking doesn't help when you're torpedoing the other 52 guys' season as well. He's not a dead man walking when he's been givwn every opportunity to continue to try and lead the team.
I don't think they can go back to Wilson if they bench him again. Not this time. But so what? He's done here, they just won't admit it. Yet. There's a very good chance that Siemian is shit, but he has shown that he can be better than Wilson is now and there's no reason to believe he has lost that entirely. He was injured for a couple of years, played pretty poorly for a little bit, but as you said no harm no foul in at least trying. He's not 46 years old where his skills have eroded to the point they're not viable anymore. And let's be real for a second, regardless of whether the team is outwardly frustrated with Zach like they were last year, there's no doubt that they are. You can see little crack starting to appear in the armor, things guys are saying, things they're not saying, and other things that are fairly obvious if you're looking for them. The Jets at some point should show some regard for the 52 other guys on that active roster and make a move, and if it doesn't work out, at least they showed they cared enough to try.
Hah! I remember it well because November 19 is my birthday and at the last home game before that I had a banner that said "Sorry Charley, You Get the Hook." There was a picture of it on the back page of the Mirror or the Post the following day.
I think being a total but kicker gives you less of a grace period these days. You need to start winning fast or all you are is the asshole coach of a losing team, and the players will become vocal. The again, Woody would probably be all in on the drama and as long as the tickets are sold (regardless of whether there are people in the seats) he’ll be content. I’d love a Parcells type but there aren’t many coaches available who coach that way and have the results to back it up. (far as I know).
It was a prelude to Joe Walton picking his nose and a 'Richard and Walt, It's All Your Fault' sign with a jet plane crashing. That one even made the news. Happy B in advance. One year closer to death, same old Jets.
Im sure they held a players only meeting to tell Zach how much they love him as their leader and to stop being so hard on himself
