    True.

Fortunately we’re only 1 QB, 2 WR’s, and 3ish OL away from being contenders.

    Oh wait…

I would bet on Rogers as #1 and someone else as #2.

Nope, the Jets own that record.

All this team needs is competent play at the position, the defense is doing their job and then some, just score some points. This is all on JD, he sat on his hands and they made the decision to ride Zach for the rest of the season.

Zach is under contract for one more season. If they wouldn't make a move this year, I doubt it's coming at all.

If I'm Rodgers I'm retiring. No way could he survive behind this awful offensive line. The Jets offensive line is just the worse.

He simply cannot be the backup

The dead cap hit drops from 23M to 11M in 2024

Do what it takes, get Drake Maye here.

Heads should roll tomorrow, but nothing will happen. This team is a disgrace. The Raiders who fired their coach have the same # of wins as we do.
We will start Zach every fucking game the rest of the way, I don’t think Rodgers plays another snap for the Jets.
He will retire at the end of this season.

What a waste of a good defense and offensive talent like Garrett and Breece.

We should absolutely draft a QB in 2024 but not with a top pick. Once again, I hope we take offensive linemen with our top two picks. I don't want to draft a guy who played 1 or 2 years at a school surrounded by stud players who look better than they are or a guy who comes from a run and gun offense and has no fundamentals. Let's draft a guy who has started 5 years at a school that has something resembling a pro-style offense and has a proven track record to be accurate and make good decisions. If the stars align that guy can sit behind Rodgers for a year or two and learn how to become a solid QB while we assemble an offensive line capable of blocking.

    O-line, O-line. Worry about QB after O-line.

This QB draft is hella deep and we can score someone good in the later rounds.

    Why can't both be addressed?

The only reason Hackett was ever remotely acceptable was because Rodgers was basically going to be calling his own plays at the line, and Hackett would be nothing more than moral support. Once Rodgers went down and Hackett actually became responsible for designing and calling places, we were doomed to fail. He is total dog shit, just like his dad was when he was OC for us.

I agree. I was hanging into the idea of bringing back this terrible staff with the idea of keeping Rodgers from retiring. Woody needs to fire everyone, start over and draft a qb in round 1.

I never said both couldn't be addressed.
I provided my opinion of the priorities.
And I think a rookie QB behind the current Jets O-line and with the current Jets Wrs is destined to failure.

OL and WR is just as, if not more important. Lazard only looks like an NFL number 2 thanks to Aaron Rodgers. Very few QBs would have success with this offense. Not too mention the lack of discipline leading to penalties at the most inopportune times!

I don't think there's very many people left who can still talk about progression, so you shouldn't have anything to worry about there.

Not even close. And it's not just the QB. The Jets are easily the worst offensive team of the last 5 years and probably of the last 10. Not only are they bad, they are unwatchable.
