Meh. From 2013 through 2022, 24 QBs were drafted in the top half of the first round. Of those, only 7 have shown/showed any signs of being a franchise QB for more than one season (Lawrence (maybe), Burrow, Tua, Herbert, Allen, Mahomes, and Watson), with Goff being marginal. That's way too small a percentage to spend time worrying about.
That Bryce Young TD pass took a loooooooong time to get there. Like Chad Pennington twilight years long.
I guess I'll Morash credit that I actually enjoy seeing the Giants get destroyed every week since he's been on air.
So who are we rooting for tonight between the Bills and Bengals. Are we going to win the division or are we trying to get a wild card spot?
True but this team beat the only would-be undefeated team in the league. Not as bad as the team that beat the Giants, but not as good as the team that beat the Eagles. Somewhere in between.
Unless a career is ended by injury possibly, I don't believe there can even be a franchise QB for only one season. Doesn't it require some longevity?
To be fair, both teams faced the same weather and if any team is lousy coming off a bye, it's solely on that team. Both are non-starters in my book.
Which is why I explicitly said "have shown/showed any signs of being a franchise QB for more than one season." None of the other guys even looked like a franchise QB for more than a season (Wentz, Murray, Mayfield, Mariota?)
