Yes, they are, but they need to do more of that.

Slight exaggeration. Let’s not forget NE, their QB should have left the game a midget then and Dak scored 40 on us

Still can't believe we lost to the Patriots, that hurts worse than any.
Just think if Rodgers didn't get hurt, I wonder what things would look like, but for what Rodgers brings, Wilson at least has the ability to scramble.

    I'll give him that.
I'm no hater... check my posts on Zach.

I really want to see him put together a string of games where he takes control of the offense.

The Jets D was getting picked apart but woke up, alright. Hah, Hernan Edwards and The Miracle at the Meadowlands, take that. I know that was against the Giants, but fck it.

Speaking of Herm, enough with Herm Ball, spawn of Hackett.

I wasn't implying that you are. Just saying that despite so many saying negative things about him somehow he continues to outplay QBs who are supposed to beat him. If the stats really told the whole picture, this wouldn't be possible, but obviously they don't. The reality is that if you go back through NFL history there are numerous examples of QBs who weren't thought of highly who led their teams to victory. As well as QBs who were told to just play conservatively and let other players do the heavy lifting.

Although I still want to see Zach really reach his full potential which made him the #2 overall pick in the draft, if he continues doing what he's doing he could lead them to the SB.

Quarterbacks don't play against other quarterbacks.
They play against the opposing teams defense.

I shouldn't have to point that out...

And if Zach gets us into the playoffs...that's a win. A Super Bowl appearance is quite the reach.
But then again Sanchez almost pulled it off... ;)

Forgot to add - and this is a legitimate gripe even in victory - the D saves the day, but Jesus H, please show me some old school clean wrap up tackling on the regular. This diving and tripping shit has got to go. It can be back breaking.

Sanchez got tooled by the Jets in some ways but he was never particularly cerebral which is why he couldn't recover. Decent football smarts would've done the job.

In some ways it was a repeat scenario with Sam Darnold but I posit that Sam had far more than a brain stem with a monkey brain attached to it. The rest of the coaching staff was so subpar that even Glenn Gould wouldn't be able to play piano with that.

    Edit: Autocorrect.

To your point. We are stuck with Cook, agree. I see very little chemistry between Cobb and Zach. They don’t appear to be on the same page. Lawson is a wasted slot right now. I have no clue what’s going on with Mecole.

I agree that Cobb and Zach don't have much chemistry, but then Zach never got to practice with the 1s during TC. He was always throwing to Brownlee, Gipson, Charles and the WRs that didn't make the team. Since he's been playing, he's been trying to quickly get chemistry with GW, Lazard, Conklin, Ruckert, Uzomah, and Breece. He can develop chemistry with Cobb. Cobb's experience, his ability to find open spots in the zone and reliable hands, plus his heady play will still be beneficial to the team, and the young WRs can learn from him.

If Hardman hasn't been dogging it, Zach could develop chemistry with him too, but it seems that Saleh and Co are determined not to use Hardman. If so, then he should be traded so they can get whatever they can for him.

Can't escape the feeling we could've been 5-1 with Rodgers or any other top 15 QB.

Having said that the D recovered from an awful start where they couldn't tackle to winning us the game and at 3-3 into the bye is quite the achievement that I would of taken after our first series against the Bills.

For me the question is if JD is happy to roll the rest of the way with Zach and maybe compete for a Playoff spot or if he's willing to go 'All-in' and try make a move for someone like Cousins or Tannehill who could 'Dilfer' us to the big show.

Really all we could have asked for with Rodgers and we did it with a backup QB.

The season is alive. Let's go

I wish we knew more about what's going on with Hartman. he could be an asset with short slot plays and yards after the catch. Along the same lines, I hope after the buy they integrate more plays on the offense with Gibson, the reverse was a thing of beauty.

We should absolutely be 4-2 with Zach as it is. That game against the Chiefs was a disgrace robbed by the refs. While AR is at a totally different level, I don't know how well he would do with our pass offense. Wilson is absolutely running for his life and getting sacked with zero time.

I think they would have been 4-2 although they would have beaten the Pats. Vegas and Jerry Jones' referee fund made sure the other two were losses.

totally disagree that Cobb and ZW don’t have chemistry. Cobb is a vocal leader/veteran and you see often consoles, encourages his teammate often. When ZW threw a clunker vs NE, you saw Cobb encouraging/consoling his teammate. Now during game plays, Cobb has several drops in his limited minutes//plays. That’s unfortunate. To say they don’t have chemistry is bogus imo.
