I'd like to publicly apologize to @Cman65 for my remarks. First and foremost he is a an admin and I should never have called him out in public like I did. If anything I should have addressed it privately. I honestly didn't know that Baghdad Bob was a term for someone who is pushing propaganda. If he had used "Tokyo Rose" I would have immediately got the reference. But since Coach Saleh is both Brown and Muslim, my mind went to the darker connotation. I truly apologize for this. Sorry @Cman65
If the Jets are serious about this season, this is a game they have to win. Hopefully they have a little extra motivation from Payton's remarks in the offseason. Broncos stink and Zach is coming off his best game as a Jet (IMO). Perfect game to continue to build confidence. Maybe put together three touchdown drives this week. Run the ball well, and the rest will fall into place.
The real question, in my mind, is can the Jets overcome their history? Whether it's coincidence or true cosmic fate, the Jets have been in this situation dozens of times. Over the course of 40 years, the Jets have given everybody hope with an outstanding performance, coming out of nowhere to either give a fight to or beat a team that they have no business doing either, getting everybody excited, pumped up, and ready for them to turn the corner. Then, they go into the next week and make an inferior, or seemingly inferior, team look like Super Bowl contenders. How many times over the years have the Jets gone against a team with a depleted defense, horrible against the run, whatever else, and gone the exact opposite way and not taken advantage of that weakness? Too many to count. So not only Zach Wilson is on trial this week, but the Jets themselves. The Jets should be able to curb stomp Denver. They have all the momentum, Denver has been absolutely terrible, the Jets have an outstanding defense when it wants to be, and their beleaguered quarterback seemingly turned a corner this past week against one of the best teams in the league under insanely stressful circumstances. Will they win? We will see. If they head in there and lose 23-6 like they have so many times in their history, then we have our answer. I'd like to see them go in there and win decisively, and then we can really start to talk about whether we should be excited or not. Sent from my SM-S908U1 using Tapatalk
Like many have said... this is a must win game for a few reasons. Going 1-4 would be disastrous if we have any hope of sneaking into the playoffs. And it's important for Zach to have a very good game against a lesser defense. It'd be awesome if we ripped them a new asshole as retribution for last year. We're 2 point underdogs in this tilt...
Justin Fields, the only qb who is possibly in the conversation for being as bad as Z as a passer (he's actually probably worse but makes up for it on the ground), absolutely shredded the broncos last weekend. We should have a very good shot here.
No matter how much you hate Denver, Miami's offense is significantly better than ours. Let's aim for 30 Sent from my SM-S908U1 using Tapatalk
I want to see Zack do the same things he did on the successful drives vs kc…quicker decisions, getting the ball out earlier, and throwing with some confidence . with more touches for breece. no idea what to expect. I don’t think I’ll ever see a jets game as an easy win ever again, no matter how bad the opposing defense is.
This game will be more telling than the Chiefs game. If this team is truly turning a corner they go into Denver and handle them with ease. Also this team needs to learn how to start better. All 4 of our games we have been down double digits at some point before the half. That's brutal. Hopefully that starts to change
For sure. The NYJ social media team was bragging today that the Jets haven't allowed a 2nd half touchdown in 7 straight games..... but they have lost 6 of them! Lets try not losing the game in the 1st quarter for once
Kind of where I’m at. Don’t trust the CS to stay aggressive on O. Feel like us being down 17-0 forced that on them to let Zach throw.
