Yeah but anyone with a shred of sense says the Jets have more than enough time to get the ball back. I mean come on. 7:30 plus the 2 minute warning?
Do you blame Zach Wilson for losing the game with that fumble? I mean we could have went 3 and out and the result would have been the same considering we couldn't get the ball back.
From pure football sense without getting into the technical aspect, NO Zach did not make us lose the game last night.
The sword is out of the stone. From CBS Sports: Jets QB Zach Wilson did something against Patrick Mahomes that no opposing quarterback had ever done before It took nine years, but Patrick Mahomes finally got completely outplayed by an opposing quarterback, and in a total surprise, that quarterback turned out to be Zach Wilson. Over the course of his college and NFL career, Mahomes had never been involved in a game where an opposing QB had more completions, more passing yards, more TD passes and fewer interceptions, but that changed during Kansas City's 23-20 win over the Jets. According to OptaSTATS, Wilson became the first QB to pull off that feat. Mahomes went 127 starts before someone was able to finally top him in each one of those key stats. Mahomes has faced quarterbacks like Tom Brady, Jalen Hurts, Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen and Joe Burrow, but none of them was able to do what Wilson pulled off against Mahomes. All it took was Wilson playing one of the best games of his career while Mahomes played one of his worst. Now go beat the rest of the NFL boy king. I don't personally. it was his 1st turnover of the game. it was a 3 point game and there was almost 8 mins left in the 4th. by all means we should have had 1-2 more drives. mahomes on the other hand threw 2 picks, had a pick dropped, and had the refs negate a pick on a BS penalty. where the flag came out after the interception. so no I don't think he 1 turnover lost us the game
The thin air in Denver makes it really hard for any player to be out there all night making a big effort. This game may be where our Dline rotation really comes into play. Would love to see Q95 and his band of merry men make a killing.
Im one of the ones that was done with Zack. But have to give credit where due. Let’s see more of this!
If he plays as good as he did yesterday then I can forgive a fumble unless it's on the game winning drive with time expiring
Wasn't sure where to put this, but Joe Willie was on Michael Kay again, lots of gotcha type questions, but ya gotta love Namath, he handled them perfectly & was a hoot. Aside from how great he was, when I saw him as a youngun, his genuineness just being comfortable with who he is, has always been a pleasure. Still can't believe he's 80... means I'm getting old... SMH. The interview -----> .
IMO Zach played a hell of a good game against all odds. He did everything he could to give us the win. The OL held it’s on but it was mostly on his shoulders. We were one dimensional and In addition we were fighting butt awful biased refereeing calling phantom penalties and bend on making KC come up on top, plus our complete inability to get a steady, effective running game is completely inexcusable. We are not helping Zach one freaking iota and I blame the offensive game plan and the OC for that.
Some day, Zach might have his jersey in the Single Game Hall of Fame for this like the venerable Mike White.
I agree. They should be even more motivated to kick Denver's asses after the comments Payton made about Hackett before the season. If they don't, and Hackett doesn't have some special plays drawn up, then imo it will show that Saleh and Hackett really don't have the killer instinct necessary in the NFL.
