The question that everyone is wondering this morning, can Zach Wilson string together another good game against arguably the worst defense in the league? Denver made a great comeback against the Bears yesterday, scoring 24 unanswered to win 31-28 and get their first win for the year. I want to believe in Zach, but he's burned me too many times for me to fully buy back in just yet. Regardless, I don't think the Broncos are a very good team right now and even if Zach takes a slight step back, I think we win this one.
I think saleh turtles back the offense to Zach playing not to lose rather than attacking and I think we lose. Last night was the first time in 3 years we’ve seen the offense actually attack and take what the D gives you. Welcome to 2023. Don’t go back to the 1950s rob
Broncos defense is as bad as it gets. If we can't score on them, even with Zach, I don't know what else to say.
What happened to Denver's D? Were they not one of the best last season? Hacket and The team should be fired up with all the comments made this off-season.
Well they traded their best pass rusher (Bradley Chubb) to our division rivals and now they get no pressure on QBs
They've got a lot of talent on that side of the ball so I honesty don't know. Could be everyone is still adjusting to Payton's DC's scheme.
Funny, but could this week's game be more important to Zach than yesterday? Folks were rightfully impressed with Zach last nite but just like a lot of us, we're wondering IF that was a sign of things to come or just a 1 off because of the circumstance. Zach comes out next week on the road in Denver and has another competent game, then folks MAY start to buy into him as a viable QB.
Well said and it's why I'm still not fully confident in Zach. He's always had the talent but he's lacked consistency from a lot of the mental components of playing QB. I genuinely hope last night was a sign of growth and development from Zach but I need more than 1 good game from him before I'm ready to hop back on the pro-Wilson bandwagon. This Denver defense has been embarrassed over the last few weeks, let's see if Zach can do something similar on Sunday.
Who else will be out there?!? Please ping me if you're heading to Denver for the game. rscherwin at yahoo.
Especially to an HC who is 1-10 over his last 11 games. I think Saleh needs the win more than Zach as the heat will start coming his way.
Disagree. Zach played like a good QB last night, and we almost beat the Chiefs despite the refs essentially rigging it against us. Now imagine if we had a QB who could play like that every game. We'd be Super Bowl contenders.
If Zach plays like last night, we can win. If he plays like he did against Dallas and NE, we will lose
Zach’s performance allowed us to believe his job is “safe” after horrendous week of scrutiny So does this mean he can revert to old Zach and shit the bed , hand a bad Team a Win? The cynical me says “why not” lmao..I have zero confidence in the kid after the 3 years of experiment / failure otoh the players keep boosting that fragile ego and he finds his targets iam flying blind on this …sheesh
