My defense would be better. In Madden I broke the single season sack record with Bryce Hall calling DB Fire 2 like 20 times a game.
Everything about him blows, 1 sack and 0 turnovers in the last 2 games the guy needs to get out of dodge enough is enough. Biggest fraud in Nfl history, how the woody's gave this guy a job as head coach is mind boggling.
thats a hot take when he's consistently had nothing but top 5 defenses with multiple teams throughout his career. I get it can be a frustrating to watch defense at times, but the results kinda speak for themselves.
I said it in another thread but it’s more fitting here. Julian Edelman was interviewed a while back on Belicheck using him on Defense. He started out against the Jets as a “practice” essentially so he could be ready to cover Jamal Chaarles exclusively against KC later in the season. Belicheck went so far to create opportunities that he actually used an offensive player and schemes him to stay man on man against KC’s most dangerous weapon. Now to put that in context, after BUF moved Diggs to the slot and had great success without any adjustment on our side in week 1, DAL showed up with CD Lamb lining up exclusively in the slot and gashing us completely the entire game. Saleh was asked why he didn’t move Sauce or even Reed on him man to man. Saleh said the t would require a fundamental dismantling of the principles of his D and that it wasn’t an option.
Wow. Talk about tipping your hand. I still think it was the Jax game last season that was the undoing of this defense. They were exposed in that game when Evan Engram who sometimes operates out of the slot had a field day on route to the Jags win.
It's criminal how Huff is underutilized. The guy is an absolute beast and played good running defense too. JJ has not generated any pressures, aside from in practice against Turner and Max. Right now I would say Huff overall a better player than JJ and Lawson and need to play more than them. Don't wait for the 3d and long. People pass on the first and second too and if they don't, he can defend the run. Also there is another weakness in Al Woods. The guy cannot generate any pressure at all, only good against the run. When JJ and Woods are in, and this happens a lot, we just can't generate any pressures. At least get Huff out there when Al is playing. We cannot generate any pressure lately, and we have a guy who is one of top of the league there who also played well against the run, and we are not using him. Unleash Huff!!!
Agreed. I said it in another thread... Saleh spent a good portion of Hard Knocks bragging to other HCs about his Dline rotation. Where's the rotation?
There Is plenty to criticize with this team. Defense Isn't one of them. At least Saleh Is consistent when It comes to having a top defense In this league. Silly thread.
Is it really Selah or is it Ulbrich. No one will know till one of them leaves. I saw both Selah and Ulbrich on hard knocks, and Ulbrich has fire in his eyes, Selah is just a pom pom boy who talked his way into a job who is unqalified for.
The Jets trying to make Michael Clemons a defensive tackle is also as criminal as it was when they tried to do it to Shaun Ellis. The guy was a dominant edge rusher in college and a good rookie edge rusher. Brilliant idea to move him inside.
His only top five scoring defense was last year with us. He’s had two top 5 defenses in yards - once with us last year and once in 2019 with the 49ers (ironically the year after they drafted Nick Bosa). Shall I borrow a quote from you? Do YoUr ReSeArCh. That’s hardly consistent enough to use the word “consistently.”
We always seem to find those DC who should never be a HC and look like they’re over their heads. He’s another one and we sadly won’t fire him until end of the year. Dude makes no changes and is just a high priced cheerleader
