No, too many needs. Oline comes first. If Rodgers comes back we need oline, if he doesn't come back we need oline.
You have to 100% take the quarterback. Assuming things continue how they are, you are probably going to picking in between 5th and 9th. You cannot pass up the opportunity of getting a QB. The only concern I have is letting JD make that pick considering his whiff on zach. The best thing that can come from this year is Becton solidifying himself at LT, AVT at RT and Tippman at C. 3/5 spots where you only need 2 guards.
Tons can change and guys will emerge but 2025 looks like a pretty weak class since all the guys with Covid years retained their starting job for 3+ years. The top guy coming out as of now is a statue in Drew Allar at Penn State. Regardless, you’re likely looking at the top QB’s available in 2025 as guys with limited starting experience in the grand scheme of things.
This pretty much says what I have come to. I think getting two more decent guards with a high third round pick and a high fourth round pick should be doable, particularly since Douglas seems to have a good feel for offensive linemen, as opposed to his questionable quarterback judgments. I trust Vilma’s judgment that the 2024 draft seems to have better prospects than the 2025 draft. I want to increase our chances of getting a good franchise quarterback, so let’s get one while we have a high first round draft choice. I think Williams will be out of play, but I see this team as falling apart under Zach Wilson, so I think that even Maye or the best of the rest will be available. Let’s give Douglas one more chance to select the franchise quarterback. But let’s give him plenty of good choices to increase his odds of selecting a good one!
I'd like QB: IF we are picking in the top 12 OL: If we are picking in top 20 Round 3: BPA between OL/WR and safety
Yes, they need one... Zach has 13 games to show whether it should be in the 1st rd or later in the draft.
I kinda hope they draft him just for the custom ordered jerseys.... especially since position number rules got thrown out the window BIG PENIX 69
I dont like his throwing motion, he has to put everything into it to make deeper throws. In the NFL he won't have the time. I think he's a backup in the NFL
Eh that’s just how lefties look though. It’s wild how all of their throwing motions are the same. I think Cam Ward goes back to school after those back to back crap performances depending on what Washington State does conference-wise. He’ll be a Heisman front-runner if he does.
It could be the lefty screwing with my head, ill admit, we will see. Penix gets all day back there though. I am almost ready to bang the table for Spencer Rattler (South Carolina). That kid is under duress every snap with a makeshift O-line in freakin Dowell Loggains' offense. Yes Dowell Loggains is calling the plays and he's still going 20-23 every week. Rattler has one of the quickest throwing motions i've seen. Like ever. Like Marino ever. And he has a powerful arm. I think he will be one of these guys that has a better pro career than college career. Please watch him and tell me what you think!!!
