I'm at a loss for words with this guy. He just has to be getting some JetBlue money on the side or something
that HAD to be a mistake. He really doesn't think Patrick Mahomes could perform better, wtf how is this guy on TV? He also clearly didn't watch the game. He blamed the defense and said "the Jets need to keep games 13-10, 16-13..." That is exactly what the defense did yesterday
Who could perform better? Every other QB in the NFL, CFL, and XFL, several QBs currently on their couch...bionic man Chad Pennington even after 13 years in the announce booth...
Or maybe he is so narcissistic, that he can't admit he was wrong. Another wasted season, thats why I dont deal with hype and bullshit. So by Halloween it's over this year? Yet again?
There is a legitimate argument that Zach isn't ready and the Jets have completely mismanged his development with an inexperienced OC and now a failed experienced OC. It's malpractice to keep trotting him out into games and yet they keep doing it.
There were pre-draft concerns about Zach's ability to focus with ADHD. It's possible those concerns were valid and he just can't compute the game on the field. He was very successful on the move when he wasn't thinking, just reacting. The Jets should turn Zach into an RPO QB like Fields and see what happens. Him as a passer first isn't working.
I was completely OK with moving on from Zach but then they ran a drive that played to his strengths and he marched right down the field. But then Zach had 2 chances to win the game and completely whiffed. But at the same time they went right back to the static offense that had failed the entirety of the game. And let's face it the OL sucked and probably like the 20th different OL combo Zach has played with, and we got 38 rushes on 22 yards. Romo (could they be more biased to NE?) kept saying 2 things that are important. Running on first down does NOT protect the QB it does the complete opposite, and static looks do not work for him. Miami had 49 plays yesterday where a player was in motion AT THE SNAP, yet we used motion at all all on like 4 or 5 plays. So what I am left with is that I think in the right system with the right coaching Zach could be very good, but I am not sure Saleh will ever bend and build an offense around him. LaFleurs and Hacketts "systems" are probably the worst possible for Zach. And Saleh is totally a system guy. We either need to move on or completely overhaul our approach for Zach
delusional - zach had different Ocs, different Lines , many chances. Ranked 2nd worst qb of the century just before Rosen. Some guys need to check mental Status
