So huge for his confidence to have been part of a big comeback win going into next week. If we had lose this game, I think we’re basically dead in the water next week. It’s a different story now.
It is what it is. Zach s gonna be our QB. As stated last year, he doesn’t have to be a top 15 QB, just play smart and cut off the TOs. Let the running game and Defense take over. I am not expecting a heck of a lot from Zack, but I certainly hope he is solid enough to get Ws….
At this point the holding of the ball and accuracy etc etc the bottom line is he just doesn't see the field. If his first option is not there it becomes a catastrophe. One that makes him really bad or really good. So I don't know what the next three or four games are going to look like. I mean perfect example was Michael Carter being behind him when he broke for the goal line and he didn't even see him! It's not that he thought it was a bad decision it's not that he wanted to try himself ......he didn't see him. And that's Zach in a nutshell ....he just doesn't see the field. I hope....I'm rooting like crazy for him and I hope that just comes. But it's been a long time now where 80 90% of his drop backs he can't get to the third or fourth option. The only way he gets to that option is through a disaster.... scrambling.... Madness..... chaos ....going to the ground. And I don't know if you eventually get that..... we'll see
They were scared to let him take a shot at the endzone from inside the 20. For the most part they play for field goals at best with him under center. I'm really glad he didn't lose the game, but I don't think he "played decent". I think he didn't give the game away on a silver platter, which is definitely a step up from where we left him last year.
Did he just say that he went against the called run tk throw to GW? If he did, that shows MAJOR confidence!!
Definitely a game Zach can use to rebuild his confidence, which is probably the biggest obstacle to his success.
