I'd say that the team shows they aren't Charmin soft. There's too much of that going around. It's sad, actually.
Playoff run at least to divisional round…AFC is tough sledding with KC, Buf, Cin…I think Den will be better with Sean Payton and I think Balt is always going to be a tough out if Lamar is doing his thing, and Mia should be good as well if they can keep Tua upright. It’s a tough conference for sure. missing the playoffs would be an epic disaster, and one and done would be super disappointing … so to me, we need to at least get to the divisional round of the playoffs…
It's get to the Superbowl, or the season was a complete waste, so Jets like, if we win a playoff game, that's a success, Rodgers is here on a gamble, and the front office went all in on this season, I expect big things this season, and won't settle for anything less
Assuming injuries don't ruin the season, I would say making the playoffs would be considered a success. It's been 13 years already. Many assume the Super Bowl, but the AFC is loaded. The Chiefs, Bills, Bengals will be tough teams to beat.
It's just make the playoffs for me. Single-elimination tournaments are such a crapshoot, just get in the dance and I'll think it's a successful season.
It was a success no matter what, because trading for Rodgers was the right move. I'm sure most won't see it that way, but I'm happy Woody showed some interest and the front office busted their ass to fix the qb situation instead of just hoping Wilson worked out.
12-5 and a playoff berth. What happens when we actually punch our ticket depends on the situation. If our near full-strength team goes out to some 8-9 Divisional winner then I'd be pissed, whereas a Zach Wilson led team going out to KC, Bengals, Bills would not be an absolute disaster.
This seems extremely fair and reasonable to me. I think I would just go one step further and say a playoff Victory even if it's in the Wild Card round.
You don't trade what the Jets traded for Rodgers to just make the playoffs. They have to make it to the AFCCG to consider it a success unless Rodgers goes down.
What would I call a successful season? Winning the division and getting to the AFCCG. What would I call an acceptable season? Winning the division and beating N.E. twice. Would would I call a dream season? Winning the SB. And as part of all of those scenarios, the development of the young players, and yes, the proof that Zach Wilson can be a legitimate heir apparent to Rodgers, and that Becton can be the stud Tackle they thought they drafted.
Clearly, if Jets don't win the super bowl by at least 30 points, then the entire season was a waste, and everyone needs to get fired and start over. Go big or go home
It doesn't matter how they win the Super Bowl. If it isn't the Super Bowl that kicks off an unprecedented 6 Super Bowl wins in a row, the Jets may as well have never existed and Donna Reed is still a librarian with a huge muff.
AFC is impossible. Get into the tournament and see what happens. If they were in the NFC, championship game would be a must
The Super Bowl is the ONLY criteria for success this year. It’ll be a fun year no matter what but a successful season for us this year is WINNING the Super Bowl.
A winning season is a must. Anything short of that some folks need to lose their jobs. The fans have been patient and now its all on the Jets to get this team winning. I would have said playoffs are a must. But I don't think that will happen this year.
