Nov 03, 2021 Aaron Rodgers tested positive for COVID-19 and is out for Green Bay's showdown with the Kansas City Chiefs, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported. Rodgers was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list and 2020 first-round pick Jordan Love will start in place of Rodgers.
I just can’t seem to figure out what sent this thread on a downward spiral to shit, seemingly overnight…
Last year it was some time in March when HBO announced the Lions would be appearing on Hard Knocks. This year, we are now in July and no announcement yet. Jets like "pppplllllleaseeee, somebody step up and volunteer!"
Easy, when it derails from the topic of should the Jets be on hard knocks to a set of personal opinions, pro and con, on AR character or personality traits, completely and absolutely irrelevant to anything associated with impact to the team or performance on the field. Training camp couldn’t come soon enough.
Rodgers is perfect for Hard Knocks. He will complain about the media and the hard knocks show while on hard knocks show being interviewed by the media
This is his favorite thing to do. He was whining on McAfee about media coverage while in the next breath talking about how soft society is today when they don’t like something being said about them. I’d love to disassociate this trait from football and ignore it but it undoubtedly has and will come into play with him for football reasons.
yeah its kinda funny. Rodgers is the type that will jump in front of the cameras just to complain about being on camera I can separate it from the football field though. I think about Miami fans, albeit the few they have, they have to root for a woman beater every week in Tyreek Hill. Baltimore, MD had a giant billboard at their city center dedicated to murderer Ray Lewis. Rodgers is just a douche, its easier with him to get past it than it is with those guys. For me anyway
Oh I agree, it could be way worse. Thank god we didn't trade for Hill. He's one of the biggest pieces of shit in the league (sorry to offend the pro-children beating crowd). I've been saying since before Rodgers was even a Jet that I'll gladly root for 8 on the field. Doesn't mean I'll pretend all of his shortcomings as a human will be forgiven.
If he walks the walk, I'm good. Its going to be infuriating though if he pulls his "r-e-l-a-x bro" bullshit after a 2-6 start or something. That would be brutal
Anything involving Aaron Rodgers and ethics was determined long ago which is kind of the point. And if he wins football games for us then who cares.
Don't know what the holdup is... the NY Jets are the obvious choice. And when has the league considered what's best for the Jets... Mike Francesa calls Jets 'complete fools' in rant about 'Hard Knocks' rumors The reality is, while the Jets already said they don't want cameras in the building, HBO can force it to happen
Not sure what the Tweet is supposed to represent; here's the question and answer from August 2021 in the first seven seconds of the first clip, the rest is eyewash: Watch How Aaron Rodgers Answered a Question About His Vax Status Last Summer (Video) (thewrap.com) It is black and white, he was not vaccinated but when asked if he was replied "yeah, I am immunized." After then admitting he was not vaccinated and claiming an allergy to a component of two of the vaccines available months later It's easy to see how some might consider his responses "douchey" or "turdish." That's what happens to liars.
The Tweet represented what Rodgers said... with added context. Your link to the Wrap.com adds even more. “I realize I’m in the cross hairs of the woke mob right now, so before my final nail gets put in my cancel culture casket, I think I’d like to set the record straight on so many of the blatant lies that are out there about myself right now." “First of all, I didn’t lie in the initial press conference. During that time it was a very, you know, witch hunt that was going on across the League where everyone in the media was so concerned about who was vaccinated and who wasn’t and what that meant, and who was being selfish, and who would talk about it, and what it would mean if they said it was a personal decision … and at the time, my plan was to say I have been immunized. It wasn’t some sort of ruse or lie. It was the truth.” I think Rodgers lied... or at least tried to mislead the reporter. And I don't care all that much that he did. If it was me I would have told the reporter to fuck right off. I'll enjoy the season without having to dislike our quarterback. Lucky me. Fuck all the haters.
It was a lie. Rodgers must think we are all idiots, I amended my post as it appears Acad agrees Rodgers lied there
