90% of Canadians live within 150 miles of the US boarder. The fires are taking place in sparsely populated areas as opposed to California wildfires which take place in densely populated areas. ie. The less people affected, the less people care; the less people care, the less news coverage. It’s not complicated.
King, People close to fire might not be a high population but a lot of people in North East is affected. We are talking New York, Boston, Washington DC etc. I say it is complicated that the real fire is not shown as much.

Maybe not the blue cheap masks but I wore n95 and didn’t feel anything. Without it I definitely felt like I was breathing in bad stuff. Haven’t been out today so don’t know how the air is.
