I was lucky enough to be at the Sports Emmys last night and chatted with an old friend who has very close ties to Rodgers. Their exact words were “he want to go scorched earth” and that they’ve never seen him this motivated even after knowing him/working with him for almost a decade.
Some tidbits from David Wyatt-Hupton's The Jets Way: Incidentally, I highly recommend subscribing. It's reasonable, and he has great content. He does a lot of research, has a number of contacts around the league, and finds stats and detail that I haven't seen elsewhere. You can read it free on Mondays, but to read his email newsletter/column M-F, you have to subscribe.
Question. When was the last time this franchise, meaning Owner, FO, Coaches and players, trying to get on the same page (Parcells, Walt Michaels). Second Q: When was the last time you had a QB "here" that took over meetings and establich a new "standard, " i.e., tin a word - excellences (not even sure Joe did that but may have). I love the fact that he stop practice to explain to the all the O players that execution in pratice translates to the field... Mr. Parcells said, "you play like you practice"... Really looking forward to season but still concerned about the OL ...
It is, and I believe them. Whether or not that translates is another thing but at least we know he's in the correct mindset. Yup, it's no wonder they ask me to step off the red carpet.
Can't find the Suh thread, so I'm putting this here for those who missed it: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/uzvgj7uoLOI
LOL at the Giants beat writer from the Star Ledger. He says the Giants have the better QB. Daniel Jones is average or slightly above average. Rodgers may not be the best in the game anymore, but he is still top 10 and better than Danny dimes by a wide margin. uSTADIUM App on Twitter: "#Giants reporter @brookob has a Take that he is doubling down on … Aaron Rodgers is not the Best QB in NYC, it’s Daniel Jones Does he have an argument or crazy? https://t.co/Yq7uG4kaUQ" / Twitter
there are no QBs in NYC lol there are 3 in NY/NY and it goes allen, rodgers, .....................Jones
Veddy interesting... Aaron Rodgers, the Packers and the long succession: ‘Just tell the truth, you wanted to move on’
I guess there are some guys here who will watch the whole thing to find what you're talking about. I had the first twelve minutes on while having a bite to eat and there was nothing close. Next time, maybe drop in a quote or a time stamp if you're looking to share some information.
I saw and heard nothing to indicate Florio has any particular feelings for the guy at all. Where did you hear "hate"?
