Are you serious, that's EXACTLY what the Jets just did at #15. We got depth at premium position with that pick. Besides, that conversation was a day after #15, the point I was making is that we needed more solid tackles on the roster, because of weakness there, and now JD got them. A lot has changed for the better with Warren and Turner at the tackle spot.
I’m not sure if you watch football or not but I’d be happy to explain the sport and the Jets specifically. I’ll keep it simple and use small words: The defensive line rotates. The offensive line doesn’t rotate. The 5th man on the DL depth chart will see action every game. The 5th man on the OL depth chart, we hope he never sees the field. If you still don’t understand the difference, please ask someone else.
Jets specifically? Have you watched the Jets OLine last year, how many guys we needed? Are you pretending to be this obtuse? Also, Jones I don't think would be #5. He would be top back-up or a starter even.
2 Guards 2 Tackles 5th man up. You don’t take a guy you hope doesn’t see the field with the 15th pick on a team that’s built to win now.
