Seriously, our uniforms look great the way they are right now. I don't really care for those green pants though.
i dont want to change the uniforms at all, but we have the dumbest logo in football. it needs a change.
Forgetting about the sad history associated with those uniforms for a moment, they are just downright ugly looking.. Our current ones are the best in the league, no need to change them.
were the new york JETS. not the new york circles with our name in them. put a jet up there or something.
http://www.nationalchamps.net/Helmet_Project/ Is this the site you were asking about earlier in the thread, Dino?
You do nice creative work, but I have to agree I don't want to reinvent the wheel. Our current helmets are vintage NY Jets. The Eagles would sue us. Too remeniscent of the 80s Giants look with the Snickers logo on their helmets. Went well with the plastic field of that time, but I'm glad they went back to the old school look, too.
these uni's are classic. theyre subtle, clean, and couldnt be mistaken for anything else. plus I love the deep green. no logo's either please. it'll make me feel like I'm cheering for Jay Jay the Jet Plane
Three thoughts: 1) I love the current Jets unis, but I prefer the 80's Jets helmets with the JETS name written with the plane above. 2) One solution could be to add a 3rd color minimally, even a lighter shade of green for accent...kind of like the way the Seahawks use it now. 3) If Mangini follows the Parcells tradition, he will change the uniforms slightly in year 2 of his regime (this spring) to put his stamp on the team. Parcells killed the Patriotrs red and brought in the silver and blue in year 2, and brought back the Namath unis in 1998.
Can anyone explain why in 1993 when we wore the throwback uniforms our helmets was still green and same in 1994 during the 75th Anniversary season? 1993 (vs. Cincinnati) 1994
