This narrative that moving from 13th to 15th is the same as a 3rd round pick is asinine. First, it's not the same as giving up an additional pick. Second, that chart is grossly outdated and every draft is different. There's a great chance that the pick swap doesn't affect the Jets pick at all.
Thought this was all about salvaging JD's 2nd round fuck up. They've done everything except bring in a squad of MILF's for Hack.
Granted it isn’t nothing, but I can’t get bent out of shape over dropping two places. I’ve never been a big fan of that points chart either - it could mean absolutely nothing if the guy we want lasts two more picks. It pales compared to the guaranteed two seconds or likely first and second.
Yes! About fucking time Expensive deal I must say but Rogers just was not coming cheap...the Jets were going nowhere fast and when you aint got nothing you got nothing to lose! smh You guys flailing around calling this a bad deal just have to wake up here>>> we are a bottom of the barrel franchise WITHOUT a premier QB to put all those draft picks and premium receivers to work and score TDs Now..forget the future ...the future is now and starts in September 2023 !! picks picks picks who cares really ?? bargains can be had and high draft picks bust out Onward and upwards my friends
Man some of you guys are insanely dramatic. We just went into win now mode and we might have to give up a first rounder next year. Most teams going into win now mode barely have any picks the year they go into it, we have a first and second rounder. It is very possible for a trade to be good for both teams. I know we wanted a fleecing but the fact is this makes sense for both sides. Jets got a top-tier quarterback, Packers got draft capital to rebuild.
65% is the debbie downer here, but may not be a problem if the Jets are creative + seems like Jets Qb's always are hurt for 3-4 games and Rodgers is 39. 65% = 11.05 games We'll see, I sort of wish the Jets acted more non-commited... they played their hand, told everyone he will be a Jet and GB made them pay. This years 2nd, swap of 1sts and next year 2nd should have been the deal...
Damn… so if the jets went to the Lamar Jackson route, even if the Jets gave up two firsts and some guarantee $, it may have been a “cheaper” version than this AR deal…
I’m happy. When is all well and done, we fundamentally are given them a first next year, the rest is minutia. You can argue all day long the swap but we will get a damned good player at fifteen or trade down. We also have our second. So this year we are loosing zero picks. I think is a fair deal and if he takes us to the playoffs is a win for us. Plus if he has a good season he most likely play in 24 just to prove the point. Hope it’s the last first of the first round.
Good luck Rodgers, you better have success early otherwise the media will eat your ass for breakfast, lunch and dinner
