Escobar doing a good job both at bat and in the field to make a switch to Baty very easy.

Can't see any way that Baty isn't in the lineup tomorrow against the Dodgers - Escobar is so bad.

Nimmo with a second great catch to save the day and send it to the 10th.

    Scherzer claims it was rosin.

Two out of three against the Dodgers is okay. Nimmo 5-for-5 with a two run homer. Marte apparently hurt (didn't see it, so I don't know what happened).

Edit: apparently they pulled Marte because of a stiff neck that he has had for a day or two.

Been following the Scherzer a little more closely.

3rd Inning - Gets asked to wash hands/change glove. Does so before 4th inning, b/c you he knows he is going to be checked again
    4th Inning Ejected

You have to be an absolute moron to go try and something in the 4th inning. So after the MLB official watches him wash his hands and reapply the rosin, what did he do? Scurry off to go put more shit on his glove/hand? Give me a break. How can the MLB eject/suspend players b/c they sweat more and the rosin is reacts differently between players? You're saying I can use this substance, but now this much is too much of it? What a f'ing joke.

That umpire is probably pissed off that Max had nothing and was mad that Max was screaming in his face that he wasn't using anything.

I'd take a split with SF. Don't f up the end of this successful road trip.

At this rate Sherzer will be plenty rested for the playoffs.

Mets starting pitching continues to be pretty bad, but at least the bats are awake tonight. Pete with four ribbies, and Escobar with a two-run homer (!).

Oh yeah - their rotation is in a shambles right now. There are plenty of openings now, and they can see what happens.

Absolutely pathetic relief pitching for the Mets today, and they're now in position to get swept by this POS team, after giving up 5 runs on 1 hit in the 8th (3 HBP and an error).

Pete doubles to tie it up, and McNeil triples him in.
