I think I was paying $10/month for redzone/network with Optimum. This sounds miserable, need to open the app for Redzone and then it's a pain in the ass to swap back to local cable for the Jets game. Another reason why two TVs is becoming a necessity during NFL season. EDIT - Hopefully you can still purchase NFL Network/Redzone with cable or I'm going to be pissed. You would need to spend $489 for package AND Redzone lmao
Seeing as the Jets will probably have lots of prime time games not on Youtube, this may not be worth it next season.
I loved using it(didn't pay for it) but with it not being on direct tv the person I got it from probably won't have it. I loved it so much that I honestly thought I was going to buy it this time around. However that too much. lol Sites have the games in perfect quality so it isn't like I'm going to miss any games I want to see. I just liked the convenience of sunday ticket.
So from my understanding you will still be able to get Redzone on Cable. DirectTV/Dish had a redzone channel that was with Andrew Scilliano (sp?) and that is the one that is getting cancelled. Scott Hansen is going to be the only Redzone available on both cable + YouTube TV. That's good news for me, screw swapping back from Apps and regular TV.
Sites had it like that when it was with Dtv. I don't expect Google to make it that easy. I don't think they'd be charging so much if they didn't have a way to jam those streams.
I got the best streaming plan ever with every single game and every single regular channel for the ladies for $39 per month. All you gotta do is ask... oh this has gotta kill DirecTV right?
I think AT&T bought it knowing it would die down but there will be people in rural areas that need satellite for a while. I don't think it will die outright, just get scaled back. Either that or Musk will kill them with Starlink.
AT&T sucks and directv's streaming option with like 4 channels for $80 per month or whatever they are offering really sucks
I had Sunday Ticket streaming for a couple years at a student rate ($100/year) but it ended up being shitty because it was at least 2+ plays behind. And most regular cable streaming is on maybe a 15 second delay. I’m curious as to what YouTube’s live streaming delay will be. What a pricefuck though.
Just bumping this because the cheaper price ends somewhat soon. Did anyone go with this? I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on it but how is the delay? If it's a minute delay I'm not sure if it's worth getting for me.
The delay was pretty bad IMO but my internet always has a delay compared to one of my buddies so I dunno.
What price? Where? The only drawback for me is that I can't record, pause, fast forward, or rewind. If I'm not home, the globe still spins. I refuse to pay for anyyyyythiiinnng. I got so annoyed with the extortion in general that I stopped caring about the perks of convenience. I get why people do, but me, I laugh at the Devil. It's not a matter of screwing artists out of royalties here. I have zero conscience about nickel and diming the NFL.
It's up to $200 off for new users if you purchase it before today ends if you get the full YTTV experience or $100 off if you just get the package
