Rodgers’ favorite punter was discussing the 49ers as “ready” if the trade with the Jets falls through I wonder how long it will be until Rodgers goes on the show and declares he likes the 49ers?
GB said they weren't gonna trade him to the NFC plus SF has no first or second round pick in the draft.
Just saw a report that the 49ers are going in on Rodgers. Carton was the one to report it. Not sure I buy him as credible, but things could get interesting.
Haha. This must have been put out by GB front office. Niners have $3 million in cap space and their first pick in the draft is #99. Not sure if there is anyone on SF roster that excites GB.

If anything, it’s probably a smoke screen put out by GB Don’t think it’s credible in that SF doesn’t have the picks or the cap room to do it…they could probably figure out the cap room, but they don’t have the picks Plus it’d have to be a pretty damn good offer for GB to trade him within the NFC
I can see the niners throwing Deebo Samual at them. Maybe even including Lance. They have several players they could restructure if they want to go all in. If there is even a tiny ounce of truth to this, it is a given Rodgers wont want to come here. In fact, as it stands I believe Rodgers hates the idea of playing here, and hates us in general. We are GBs way of punishing him.
My actual dream scenario is the Rodgers thing dragging out past the draft, the Jets pivot to Lamar and work out a reasonable deal, all while keeping the 13th pick in this draft. Perhaps they even trade down in this draft, acquiring a team's low 1st this year, as well as their 1st next year, which would then offset the pick freight on signing Lamar.

I never said for a pick. I'm talking Rodgers for Deebo straight up. Dumping Deebo's contract would cover Rodgers 2023 cap hit plus another 5 million extra to extend Bosa. Rodgers would play 2 years for SF while Purdy/Lance learned. This is what a team going all in would do. But them signing Darnold, and SF hates big contracts like Rodgers', so it likely wouldn't happen.
