I just wanna say don't just look at the numbers he has had. The dude is really talented. GB became a run first team and spread the ball out a lot. Sent from my SM-F926U using Tapatalk
Overall its a sideways move. Better this year for Rodgers chemistry. We are all in this year. Worse going forward because we overpaid another WR. But hey, if we win the SB this year then its a good move...
How is this an overpay? He's making $11 mil a year and has $22 mil guaranteed. Look at this list, sort by both categories and tell me he's not better than more than a handful of guys above him. https://overthecap.com/position/wide-receiver Not to mention it's basically a two year deal. So we get a good WR at fair market price for the year he's definitely playing with the QB who wants him here, maybe two, and if not then we have one year of a good WR regardless. Then we can move on.
I’m not losing any sleep over this move…he’s a good receiver. It’s fine. He’s not a true stud #1 but he’s not being paid as such. I’m more concerned about what we will do on OL
Correct. He is not, but he is a solid number 2-3. You don’t sniff a top receiver for 11M. JD needs to get ready when he has to renegotiate Wilson and Sauce at the same time.
What is totally weird to me but true. Signing Lazard today seems like OK but I feel a little used by Arod ,where if we had traded for Arod first then signed Lazard i would be in love with the signing. The result is the same but how it happened is so different, What if his last condition to a trade was signing R Cobb his agents probably know it and are going milk it for all it is worth or they suck at their jobs. Do we want Rodgers throwing to at key situations Lazard or Wilson, Cobb or Moore. Watching both Lazard and Cobb last yr they were Jags at best. Lazard seemed to always be unable to make that clutch catch Maybe as a 3 it will not matter but is he a 3 in Aarons mind?
This thread feels like the same exact one we had for Corey Davis a couple years ago. Big, strong, reliable 3rd down target! Should help in the red zone. Its essentially the same deal for the same player. We just saw the results of almost the same player for two years but we should be encouraged now?
