Rodgers has a great perspective. The problem here is that people go with the opinions of writers to form their perspectives, instead of listening to the man. Happens in the media all the time. That how they make some people villains and others heroes. Again , he may very well retire. He has loads of money. I don’t understand how people cant see how he may want to take his sweet time. The demands of playing can cause a boatload of stress and there may be no downside to delaying that
The way Brandon Marshall was acting made it seem like he thought Rodgers is going to be a Jet. But who knows.. I didn't hear the "one season" thing as an indication he's going to be one and done. In other news, he got a haircut
I'm not convinced Aaron Rodgers actually wants to play for the Jets. It feels like he still wants to play football, but the Packers don't want him anymore. .. and no other team Is knocking on his door. So It's.. Play for the NYJ, or retire. Neither option may be ideal for the future HOF. So, perhaps, It feels like he stuck between a rock and a hard place. I can't imagine It's anything else at this point.
I can imagine it's a lot of things including all the things you listed. The primary question is: if Rodgers had no contract this year and was thinking of retiring and the Jets were banging on his door would he care?
Just forget about him and go for Lamar. I am done with this whole saga that is going to end in embarrassment
Lamar is a pipe dream. The ravens will match whatever it is. You’re doing the work for them. Also — your money for Lamar gets locked up for 5 days and you can’t do shit in FA for those 5 days b/c that’s how long the ravens have to match. Lamar isn’t happening.
Lamar is a pipedream because he believes that the Browns fever dream last year set the market when all it did was to further mark the Browns as a hallucinatory experience.
Yup, this. Guy badly needs an agent or at least better friends. No one should touch that situation with a ten foot pole. I’d like to think Douglas wouldn’t destroy his reputation of avoiding recklessness.
Based on no real information whatever. I am of the opinion AR wants to play for the jets. There is no downside. He gets his money. He gets to be a savior, which we all hope happens. He gets to be in the media's eye, which he probably wants for future career sake. And so on. I really don't see any objections. Woody has no plan B. He wants AR and only AR. He wants the star power. He wants bragging rights within his circle. He wants to sell the jets brand. And so on. I really don't see him settling for someone else until there is no longer a possibility of it happening. Green Bay wants out. But,but, but this is a complicated 3 way negotiation process. Who knows when,if all parties feel they got the best they could
The LJ situation reminds me a bit of the Leveon Bell situation. Good team will not go overboard for good player and the pot boils for longer than it should. The overall situation does not augur well for Lamar Jackson.
Where are you guys getting the one year commitment from that video? He was referring to Marshall's season. We must stop reading tea leaves based on casual comments. BUT>>>>>>>>>>>looks like the guy is in.
Last 24 hours to Free Agency tampering period. You think we will hear the good news tonight? Fully ready to take off from work tomorrow and drink myself to oblivion if they announce the Rodgers deal today.
