It’s time for the FO to pull the plug if Rogers is playing games. Go get someone who wants to be here. Fuxk AR. Let him rot. Have fun playing for Josh McDaniels. Time to move on and come up with plan C.

We’ll I think that’ll happen by the time free agency starts

I agree I want someone who wants to be here…if he is not solid on coming here then move on. But there’s no need to do that before free agency starts. If Jimmy G is the next option for example, this doesn’t mean we can’t start talking with him on Monday. And in fact we should start talking to him or whoever is option 3. Nothing can be done until then anyway

I don't think the reporter did anything wrong - she didn't say the Jets were on the brink of acquiring Rodgers, she reported what she was hearing from the Jets organization. Here is her tweet:

Thank you. In that case, ESPN screwed it up. They specifically used the word brink when they reported this in their main page.

Cannot stress this enough: fuck this guy. I get it’s a good cause. I get he’s helping out. But maybe wrap shit up before then.

Maybe he's living his life, because there's nothing he can do about the Packers wanting more compensation, than the Jets are willing to give.
It's another 'sign' that it's the Packers, not AR, that's delaying a possible deal.

It's 'Game of Chicken' time, in compensation negotiations.

No one knows anything. Just like Wednesday — everyone taking educated guesses that any single one of us could have made, we just don’t have the national platform.

Way to much smoke to be no fire. The flying out, the contract movements and salaries, the players going crazy on social. As long as the deal is done before Monday 12 noon eastern who cares. We know that, the jets know that, Rodgers knows that, and the packers know that.

You just made a bunch of excuses on this thread yet you accuse others? Watson was a joke last year, as was Wilson.

Cannot stress this enough: DON'T fuck this guy. Maybe what we are trying to tell you is accurate. He is OK with the move to the Jets and doesn't want Jets to give up much so he can win a Superbowl with them.

People are certainly getting more worked up by the hour over delays without really knowing the what, when or the where the status and results of the discussions reside. Is all suppositions, rumors and the added fan fear factor at this point. It’s a three party negotiation which doesn’t make it easy. The bottom line, if AR really wants to play for the Jets it will happen, if he is unsure and would only take us as a consolation price, well why the fuck would we want him? JD needs to insure he is committed, while not getting screwed by GB in the process. Not as easy as some make it look.

Did someone really expect Aaron Rodgers to cancel a football camp so he could fly to New York and sign his contract ASAP?

No, it doesn’t, really. He is a pain in the ass, but fought against GB for the dismal drafting, incompetent special teams and coaching that cost him a championship. I completely agree in that area. He knows more about talent that most and he demands it. GB did a shit job to build enough talent around him.

These are two different things. Not arguing anything you said and actually agree but that’s also not related to what I said. I’m talking about his money, his convenience, his image. He needed GB to do all those things. Right now he’s the belle of the ball and probably loves it. I’d assume that takes precedence over most other things or else he wouldn’t have taken a week to decide whether or not he even wants to play for us. Like “I’m going there but not if they give up 13” isn’t a reality. If we need 13 that bad then we probably aren’t an attractive place to play.
