Nobody is saying he beats women but he still can play, yet the entire GB fan base is done with the guy, so there is something to it. Maybe narcissism is his flaw?
Everyone has flaws and you are now talking about opinions. Give me factual stuff or don’t even bother. Like i said, its people who don’t like his opinions
You don't alienate an entire fanbase because of opinions. You do it by jerking them around and blaming team mates in the media when you lose.
New York Jets beat writers are useless. They have a lot to learn from their soccer counterparts in Europe. 4 time MVP QB is at the cusp of joining the Jets and all they do is feed off of national media guys.
And the way they do that is fixing the o-line, shoring up the defense and making sure they have a solid backup in place for when Tua gets injured. They’re not trading for Rodgers
In their defense, the national people don't know what the fuck they are talking about either. We have literally no concrete info other than they met with Rodgers. This entire thread title is based off one reporter giving the Jets' opinion... nothing about what Rodgers actually thinks. This is far more about Rodgers being an egotistical lunatic than it is the media failing.
They won 7 games with basically the worst QB play in the league. They even beat Buffalo and GB on the road. Put your hatred for Rodgers aside and tell me how many games we win if Rodgers were QB last year. Or even Carr of that makes you feel better.
The problem is the beat writers have been fed through the nose by the Jets PR operation for a decade plus now. It gets really hard to have an actual opinion when you've been gaslighted in that way for so long. There's also the fact that the Jets (and many other teams in this market) freeze out the reporters that try to actually report what they see as opposed to where they are led. There is nobody reporting on this in a critical way at this point. If there was we would mostly understand that it is a *very* high risk move that is unlikely to succeed at the levels we're being hyped too. There are so many ways it could go wrong and given it's the Jets odds are we're just waiting to see which way it goes wrong as opposed to waiting for it to somehow succeed.
IMO. New York media in general has always being fueled by incendiary BS, and even more so in regards to sports. That’s why there is an extra unwritten evaluation criteria for players going to NY. How can he or she handle the NY read “useless and looking for dirt” media. Hence most everything in progress is kept totally secret and away from them, and rightfully so.
The entire Raiders fanbase was done with Carr but people here are ready to jump off a fucking bridge because we didn't sign him. You follow? And the Ravens are letting Lamar explore is FA options. It's a weak argument.
The guy has played his entire career for a first rate organization. Now they are talking about trading him to a) a sad sack franchise, b) an area of the country that people are leaving in droves and c) a place where the fans are considered less than ideal (and I'm being nice by saying that.) But him trying to decide whether he wants to end his career with this historically shitty organization in a location where he will be taxed to death surrounded by idiots makes him an egotistical lunatic. Right.
For the most part this is true whether the team is good or bad. The good 70's Yankee teams always had more dirt about Billy Martin and Reggie Jackson spill than should have. When the Pirates were winning NL titles in the early and mid 70's it took a full-blown cocaine scandal to break the media wall of silence around the cities heros.
Just go back and find one of the posts where I said we're better off with Rodgers than without so you can stop questioning literally every post I make that implies this might not be a grand slam move.
