I'm sure the staff did their best. If the guy hates NY (and who would blame him?) then what are you going to do? We can always turn to that rock head, Lamar.
You know how terribly bad your situation is if someone chooses to give up $60 mil instead of play for your team? Now if he chooses GB, nothing you can do there. But if he retires then yikes.
Right, and we know he doesn't like them already. That'd put us right in the same boat. No matter how you look at it, at this point the Jets need to come away with Rodgers or the front office and ownership is going to have egg all over their faces.
Pack's demand for Jets 1st Rounder is a non-starter. #13 needs to be reserved for both the draft pick and Rodger's "new jersey" number, so as to not upset the gematria cart.
Im not sure who called Carr "all world" so that's a weird way to make your point. Either way yes letting Carr walk because you're chasing a guy who then says "no thanks" is absolutely how you end up with egg on your face. And it will be 100% deserved.
It's exasperating no doubt. But, considering the trash the Jets have trotted out at QB the last decade. I'll take a dose of agita if it means we can land a future hall of famer to pilot our Jets to a historic season.
And they are going to magically be healthy as if nothing ever happened, and never get hurt again? Bechton might have injured himself brushing his teeth this morning!
We haven't hit the legal tampering period yet. I mean I know we want the answers yesterday, but if Rodgers decides before the 13th, before we can talk to any FAs, is this really all that much drama? It is an anomaly that Carr was available before the legal tampering period. As long as Rodgers makes a decision before the legal tapering period this and next year, there is not much off-season drama either.
I have a feeling Rodgers will announce his trade to the Jets tomorrow. This way he gets wall-to-wall coverage all weekend long.
Well I'd be pissed if they just settled for Carr and didn't try for Rodgers. Carr was appealing because of the no compensation, but he's not even in the same zip code as Rodgers.
I agree. The biggest problem still remains, we do not have a long term QB. I get what you are saying. However... I'll be proud of this team when they finally do right by us fans. When we can finally root for a consistent winner, year In and year out. That hasn't happened In my lifetime. ..and until that does. After all the anguish, money, time, and passion I've invested already Into this team as a fan. I will proud when they start winning games on a regular basis. That's It for me.
