It is accurate. He used to say if you are thinking about retirement you are already retired. Bill Parcells is the best coach this organization has had in my lifetime by a mile so I think his model is one to follow.
So what do you think Rodgers wore on this date? What did he order? Did Woody look cool and tough and mysterious on the date?
They left Joe Willie, Adam Sandler, Jay-Z and Chris Rock off the plane! If you want to full court press do a full court press!
Woody looked a bit frail in those pictures actually. Maybe he should consider selling while he’s still an active young man.
I feel like plenty, if not everyone who understands that Rodgers is a douchebag has also admitted he's the best option currently.
Agreed. Whats the point of owning an expensive team if you die before you can sell and enjoy the windfall. Woody should sell, 76 aint that young
Not simple. And Rodgers is not a saint himself. He will say some stupid stuff outside the field. Since we are a Sports Forum we will make sure his political stances will be off limits. Making the call again. This message is last. Anybody who discusses Rodgers’ political views or Vaccine stance will be banned a week. And yes Vaccine topic became Political multiple times in this forum. Not going to tolerate it on Jets forum anymore.
What would be worse? Waiting on Rodgers into April or giving him a 1 week deadline and moving on (then 3 days later he signs w Miami?)
At work today with my phone in my hands all day. Checking Rodgers News constantly. Hope I don’t get fired over it.
He is starting out with a Windfall..please. Silver spoons in mouth his whole existence This ownership is just ego hubris and Trust Asset
When you want something you go out and get it. There's no second chance to make a first impression. The Jets front office went for it and I applaud them for it. Go Jets.
Any O coordinator is going to design a scheme that fits what the QB can do. We are basically saying the same thing. He'll come here and run the same scheme he ran in GB. However, the QB is just one piece of the offense, a big piece, but there are 10 other guys and they all have to be on the same page for the offense to be successful. Based on the disjointed offense we saw last year, even if it was designed by MiLF, it's going to take some time for everyone to get coordinated. All I'm saying is that I don't think Rodgers as QB of the Jets will win a SB in year 1, which was the premise of my OP, nor do I think he will do it in year 2. If you think he can, I'm happy for you, but only time will tell who is right. However, I will concede that he should make the Jets a winning team and playoff contender.
Wow. I thought this would be a goof clip, it's the real deal. The 4 horsemen of the Apocalypse playing it very close to the vest. Barely any emotion save for a giggle from Woody. Oscars for everyone.
Join the party. Told my teachers that unless there's blood or a weapon, don't call or show up in my office.
This thread is chock full of ways that ignorant people convince themselves that Derek Carr is better than a generational HoF QB.
It's unbelievably easy to find ways to justify signing Derek Carr to the contract the Saints gave him over trading assets for a QB that gives us a one year, maybe two year window.
Actually, Weeb may have made a recruiting trip for Namath. When Namath came out of Alabama, he was drafted by both the Jets (AFL) and St. Louis Cardinals (NFL). Does anyone remember what recruiting efforts the Jets made to persuade him to sign with them? Maybe Ewbank did get involved. After all, he had coached Johnny Unitas in Baltimore, and Unitas was one of Namath's heroes. That's some impressive gravitas.
