Oh, geez. The team is trying to convince Rodgers to play in '23 and to play with the Jets, and Woody's the guy making the sales pitch. How many times do you figure Woody said something really dumb, and Douglas had to interject, "Aaron, what Mr. Johnson really means is..."? Does anyone else get the sense that Rodgers is really lapping this up. For a drama queen like him, what could be better than having a team owner and GM fly out to California, hat in hand, to grovel at the feet of the Living Legend?
To be fair, If I was a multi-MVP QB and a future Hall of Famer with more $ than I could spend, I'd need some convincing to play for the JETS too....
Actually not one person has actually answered the question because Rodgers is not a drama queen. Every teammate loves him, he busts his ass on the field including playing through a pivotal year with a busted up thumb he could’ve easily sat out the season for.
Weeks? Months? It's going to be done before legal tampering starts on the 13th. They aren't going to go into FA without knowing if Rodgers is or isn't their guy.
and if he isn’t the guy then we end up with someone far worse like Jimmy or Mayfield or Brissett. Or the absolute doomsday scenario, Mike White. No matter how you look at it the Jets completely mishandled the Derek Carr situation. Letting him walk before you even have the “getting to know you“ meeting with your top option? Total incompetence.
I would be very surprised if the Jets let this linger for a month. A Rodgers move would have major FA implications so I would think they'd like to have a decision within the week.
Who on this offensive line should I be confident in being able to block for a 40+ year old Quarterback?
I literally answered you one post after you replied yesterday and others have mentioned othet things. You are either choosing to ignore them or somehow don’t think that those things make him a drama magnet. It has nothing to do with on the field stuff. It’s the off the field stuff.
