Apparently Rodgers was finishing his Purim meal and when he’s sober again, he will make a decision. ;)

Woody's chance to prove he's not cheap. The more money he's willing to take on from the Packers the less in draft compensation they will request

Maybe he has a side piece in LA and wants to double dip.

'There was nothing that Rodgers wasn't liking about what he was hearing.'

    Wat?

I'm going by what I observed when Favre came here. The Jets ran the offense that Favre was comfortable with not the one Pennington ran. Also observed Denver ran the offense that Manning was comfortable with and Tampa ran the offense that Brady was comfortable with. Not likely a 39 year old HOF QB, with maybe 2 years to go before retirement, is going to come here and learn a new offense. Besides, there wasn't much of an offense under Mike LeFleur, otherwise he'd still be here.

What's difficult to understand? Rodgers didn't like what he wasn't hearing, nothing about liking what he was hearing. Hear what you want, but I'm liking what I'm hearing about Rodgers not liking what he wasn't hearing!

Have to have assurances of at least 2 yrs and can’t be two first round picks. Sounds silly that no way they’d give two first but this team looking mighty desperate.

I had assumed that two first round picks is out of the question, the only question is if it includes our first rounder. Depending on the contract specifics, I am hoping JD found a way to avoid giving up the 1st rounder. The Packers don't really have a ton of leverage here anyway for a QB they don't want anymore, is borderline considering retirement, and who no other team is currently rumored to be in on. The Lamar Jackson non-exclusive tag even further destroys that value. You could say Derek Carr already signing increased Aarons value, but I still wouldn't want to give up a 1st especially since there is no competition for Aaron at the time of this writing. I don't think Aaron Rodgers plays for more than 1 year, 2 if lucky.

Btw Aaron Rodgers is not the type of person who would give a 2 year assurance. The guy lives day by day, having to give a 2 year assurance is likely a deal breaker for him.

JD and Saleh have nothing to lose rolling the dice with Rodgers, because if they land him and he is a spectacular failure, they probably will not be around to fix the future mess it may potentially create. That is the danger of putting a front office and coaching staff on a short term mandate to succeed.

Except that woody has already jumped from the plane without a chute wearing Aaron Rodgers underoos. That could be considered leverage.
