I believe that for us to be speaking with Rodgers everything on the GB end has been agreed to. Just waiting on the man.
I would think that the Jets and GB have some sort of tentative agreement on a trade. It seems unlikely to me that GB would allow Rodgers to meet with us without that in place already but I could be wrong.
Douglas has been on this trade for months. The finish line might just be the tarmac when team NY Jets land in California. Go Jets.
I feel like it's gonna be a 2nd or a 3rd this year and a conditional pick next year that escalates depending on how we do this upcoming season (starts as a 3rd, becomes a 2nd if we make the playoffs, and a 1st if we make/win the SB). Could be wrong but I still don't think it's going to be anything close to what was being reported at the beginning (2 1sts).
This Lamar situation does give the Jets some potential leverage with the Packers/Rodgers. Could always hit them with the, "this is our offer, take it or we'll go give Lamar 250M fully guaranteed".
I am a bit out of the loop - what's the general consensus on bringing in Rodgers? My gut feel is it will be a massive disaster (but to be fair that is my gut feel regarding pretty much every move the Jets make)
It's going to be hard to use Lamar Jackson as leverage when you call the Packers from literally Aaron Rodgers' house lol
It's possible he's on the fence about going to NY for whatever reason. This is probably the Jets brass going out to do their best sales pitch on why this marriage would make sense for both sides.
The concensus is we will be closer to SB contention than we arguably have ever been. Atleast that's the concensus in my brain
