Maybe the QB's can wear flags....or we can wrap Mike White in bubble wrap.

Or.. Maybe Jet QB's get the same respect as the other QB's in the league.. How do you go an entire season without ONE RTP flag for a Jet QB?

What about the other 20 teams that don't have representation?

I know...we have some good players NOW. Which is great, but also somehow landing the next Payton Manning, maybe even better, is so juicy.

The commissioner selects the members of the competition committee. It's not like there is a sign up sheet in the hallway outside the cafeteria. And 20 other teams do not have members on the committee.

An interesting in-depth interview on jetsxfactor, of a Raiders blogger about Derek Carr... his positives & negatives.
Probably the deepest dive I've heard about Carr... worth a listen, but it's a bit over an hour...

    -----> https://jetsxfactor.com/2023/02/27/ny-jets-raiders-derek-carr-truth/

Kinda reaffirms my thoughts that he'd be the best option.
Specifically, I like his take on Carr being a clutch player, & if the D keeps games close, he's a great finisher (around 23:50 mins in).

Good thing the Commissioner doesn't play favorites then.. Has there EVER been a Jet in any capacity on the competition committee?

Not sure, havent been able to find an instance where one has. The Giants owner, Mara, has been on the committee for nearly 20 years by the way

On the other hand, Mara knows about football.

Yeah... I don't know that Woody would have all that much to offer at that table.

The committee is made up of owners, established GMs and established HCs, and is handpicked by Goodell. Joe Douglas might qualify soon if his talent acquisition continues from 2022. Saleh and Woody, not so much.

Well he's "fucked over" 20 other teams. Is it worth going through all 20 and finding excuses as to why no one on these team is deserving of a spot on the committee? Let me know and I'll do it.

Maybe it's just Woody is a Republican therefor bad I'm really not sure what the narrative is. 11 teams have representation. 21 do not.

Edit to fix the number of teams. The point still stands.

Yeah, and it's that 33rd team that really pisses some people off.

Well, maybe if the Jets get a name QB in here, the team just MIGHT get a RTP call every so often.

Yes. That would definitely lead us to a SB!

Repeated thanks to the OP combined with a cluster of hot Polish chicks is hardly ‘excretory’

rogers or carr: until one/both do something this is all merry-go-round speculation, repeating the same thing using different words depending on the day…

RTP is for respected pros to help keep them on the field. The last respected pro the Jets had at QB was Brett Favre.

Even Sanchez and Fitzpatrick didn't get these kind of calls and that was a big part of them both getting beat up while they were here.

Basically if a guy is a name he gets protection and if he is not he doesn't.

They could have thrown 10 flags when White took that legal hit. He would have still folded in half for not recognizing the defense. RTP penalties don't win SB's.

It would keep our QB's in one piece. Can't appear in a SB without a QB.
