If we get Rodgers Vegas will have us top 5 to win it I bet. Best chance we have had in over a decade.
Because i'm really split 50/50 between getting Rodgers or just riding with what we got and the draft. I'm not a huge fan of signing older Qb's. Rodgers is gonna cost draft capital and money. Either way, lets face it... this is the Jets so it's bound to backfire whatever path they choose.
Yeah. That was the Can't Wait playoffs and also earlier that year the Jets lost a low-scoring game against the Packers based almost solely on bullshit calls from the zebras. (I think the worst call was Cotchery diving to catch a short pass and ended up on his back and a Green Bay d-back ripped the ball out of his hands, even though he should have been ruled down the moment the guy touched him. I remember thinking the Jets could have done pretty well against that Packer team in the SB if they had squeaked it out against the Steelers.
Ugh, I remember watching that Steelers game. I honestly thought we had a better team and we came out as flat as I've ever seen. Couldn't climb out in the second half, pain.
I wouldn't do anything more than mid to late round picks. I'd be all for a trade package with conditions similar to the Brett Favre trade. Anything more than that, I wouldn't dig It.

Thank you! . Btw, while voting I had the time of my life. I never knew Poles could be so much fun! . . Thanks again! .
Arch Manning would be in 2025. I don't know if you're joking or not so forgive my ignorance. We'll be paying guys like Sauce and G Wilson, so we might not want to wait that long. Get a proven guy here quick.
I voted Carr just for his age and commitment. Rodgers after so thought would be a 1 year basis. I don't trust him.
If not Carr or Rodgers then I'd frankly rather roll into next season with Mike White as QB1. Not convinced any other option would be that noticeable an upgrade when considering cost, experience, skills.
I'm probably the lone vote but I'd still go w/Jimmy G. I think Jimmy can take the NY pressure better as he's been a member of two high profile organizations. Also which QB Jimmy G or Carr has been successful in big meaningful games.
One thing we would get with Aaron Rodgers, we might benefit from some roughing the passer calls throughout the season. do you realize our Jets weren't given one roughing the passer call all of 2022? All those times Wilson ran right into the rush, you'd think the zebras would've found it to be roughing considering other QBs like Rodgers get the call if you barely touch them sometimes
My vote is for Derek Carr. The one caveat I would throw in there is, if Rodgers can be had for cheaper than what's being reported, he might be my #1. For instance, if the package for Rodgers is a Day 2 pick this year and a conditional pick next year that adjusts based off of our performance in the 2023 season, then Rodgers is my preferred option. I just really hope this whole situation is resolved in the next week or so.
I'd like to know why JD or even Woody isn't at the League office with this stat? We had a QB get 5 ribs broken without a single flag thrown.
According to the Judy Battista (NFL.com reporter) the competition committee met and discussed roughing the passer call last week and viewed 80 plays and found only 3 to be questionable. This is a joke in its own right because we know there have been several blown calls there, but no word on if they looked at no-call instances which is where our Jets were bent-over by the way, the Jets yet again have ZERO presence on the competition committee. members include: Rich McKay (Chairman) – president and CEO, Atlanta Falcons Katie Blackburn – executive vice president, Cincinnati Bengals Chris Grier – general manager, Miami Dolphins Stephen Jones – executive vice president, Dallas Cowboys John Mara – owner, NY Giants Ozzie Newsome – executive vice president, Baltimore Ravens Frank Reich – head coach, Carolina Panthers Ron Rivera – head coach, Washington Commanders Mike Tomlin – head coach, Pittsburgh Steelers Mike Vrabel – head coach, Tennessee Titans https://operations.nfl.com/the-rules/rules-changes/the-nfl-competition-committee/
Your list screams of a "Don't make waves" attitude by Jet Ownership and the FO. You can see all those names have been around for quite a few years. Maybe the Jets could make some noise on occasion. Perhaps Saleh can drop the Sphinx persona and get in a ref's ass every now and then about the endless missed calls involving his players.
